  • It’s a great perfume, super long-lasting with good projection, very green and floral, the fern note is predominant and very spring-like. My first impression was: I like it! Unfortunately, the leather note is barely noticeable; it’s quite linear and evolves little, which could be great if it weren’t for the fact that some detergents and cleaners have a similar smell. This really kills the perfume; other opinions were the same: it smells like detergent… And no matter how much I like it, I think it would only be usable with the intention of smelling like clean laundry, truly a pity this note association because it’s really very good and pleasant.

  • I didn’t think of buying this perfume at first; honestly, I bought it to have all the women’s perfumes from the house because I like most of them, so that’s how my story with perfumes began. When I put it on one day, I knew it wasn’t my favourite, but today I’ve been greatly surprised. It smells clean with a bit of laundry soap scent, something I didn’t dislike at all because I always smell clean apart from its green leaf scent. It’s extremely long-lasting on the skin and its trail is very pleasant. Amouage perfumes have trails that people perceive, and you do too, which is why I like the house because you smell your own perfume; I don’t wear it for others to smell, I use it to smell it myself, and this fulfils all the characteristics of a green fresh perfume. I like it very much.

A sample of this perfume arrived yesterday. At first, I felt it was herbal and aromatic; it didn’t disgust me, but it didn’t excite me much either. But… at 2 hours, an aroma arrived that I’ve registered since childhood and never knew what it was, a constant search… Patchouli. It’s not earthy, strong, or annoying. It releases a hint of patchouli, as if you’d applied patchouli 10 hours ago, washed the area, and upon bringing your nose close, there’s that trace. I don’t know if I managed to explain it, but it’s a soft, rich, and incomparable hint. It creates a balanced set between the soapy aspect mentioned here and the herbal notes to lead into that ending I love so much. Of course, it’s my next purchase. Excellent longevity and projection, my next favourite.

  • At first, I tested Bracken on a blotter and the smell seemed bizarre: green? woody? fruity? mosquito spray? I decided to try it on skin and it has impacted me. I still find it strange, but I’ve loved it! It opens with a fern scent (the kind from respectable grandmothers’ houses, like the hair of a supporting actor named Bob), super green and woody, like stepping into a very humid forest. As it settles, the berries appear, not sweet but astringent, like red and white currants. Drying down, there are freshly cut white woods, chamomile, and a clean patchouli without earthiness. Strong projection at the start, fading until it disappears by 8 hours. A super original and unisex fragrance, ideal for summer or intermediate seasons. It goes straight to my gift list. Pleasant: 9/10, Interesting: 9/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 9/10.

Well, yes, it smells like laundry detergent. Once you get used to it, there’s no going back. But it’s not unpleasant or vulgar; it’s fresh, clean, and distinct from the typical summer citrus. Sometimes it gives woody vibes against fruity and acidic notes, as if you were washing clothes in a young forest. I’m not sure if I’ll buy the full bottle, but so far it’s my favourite from the house (the feminine line is very classic for my taste). Don’t let the detergent scent put you off; the quality-price ratio exists. Lasts 12+ hours above 30°C, strong projection at first, moderate afterwards, and light at the end.
