  With this fragrance, I discovered my taste for woody notes, especially oud wood. On my skin, it lasts for many hours; even if applied early before work, I can still smell it close to my skin by evening. The wood, rose and carnation stand out in that order. Although it doesn’t overwhelm me in summer, I recommend it more for spring and autumn, during the day. It conveys the strength of trees, the delicacy of the rose and the joy of the carnation, like on a sunny spring day.

  Wow, my first time with Oud or Agar. I was given a sample and when I smelled it, my nose asked: ‘What on earth is that?’ I kept the sample in my bag and every time I opened it, a delicious aroma would escape, leaving a lasting impression. Three years later, I bought it. The Oud adds that mysterious note, a ‘something special’; although the rose dominates, the Oud makes it enigmatic, rich and sensual. I also detect a slight alcoholic touch; it reminds me 80% of Oud Bouquet. My husband loves it and, curiously, the rose doesn’t overwhelm me. The longevity is about 5-6 hours with a moderate sillage; I adore it, and the price is excellent too.

  A spectacular oud wood perfume where the rose shines without getting lost. Over time, the wild side of the oud settles down and the rose takes centre stage. Of this range, the Yves Rocher version is the best, although unfortunately it has been discontinued.
