Oriflame was born in Stockholm in 1967, founded by the brothers Jonas and Robert af Jochnick together with Bengt Hellsten. Its first range included facial care and make-up, and the company took ingredients and plants from Sweden as its reference. From the start, it chose direct selling as the main route to reach its customers.
Today it operates in more than 60 markets and combines beauty products with an international network of partners and consultants. The current portfolio is divided into six categories, including skincare, make-up, body care, hair, wellness and fragrances. Oriflame remains a broad beauty company in which perfume occupies its own category, alongside other products for daily use.
