I’m testing the dry down between Narcotic Delight and Althair: they are in the same ‘realm’ but aren’t as similar as they say. Althair smells of cinnamon, cardamom, sweet vanilla, and an airy touch of ambroxan, unisex with a slight masculine lean. ND smells of rum, vanilla, tobacco, and cherry, unisex but to me more feminine. I love both, but they are different, and I would probably buy ND.
I’m currently comparing the dry down between Narcotic Delight and Althair: they belong to the same ‘realm’, yet they don’t sound as similar to me as people claim. Althair smells of cinnamon, cardamom, sweet vanilla, and an airy touch of ambroxan; it’s unisex but leans slightly masculine. ND smells of rum, vanilla, tobacco, and cherry; also unisex, but to me, it feels more feminine. I adore both, but they are distinct, and I would probably choose Narcotic Delight.
Cherry and tobacco dominate the fragrance. It is a very good light tobacco with hints of vanilla. The longevity is brutal, lasting over 10 hours on my skin. The projection is good with just one spray on the hand. I see it as perfect for night outings or dates.
The fragrance calls to be addictive. A boozy, sweet cherry is very present at the start, which is a bomb. It evolves constantly, then vanilla appears, and finally, it leaves a sweet, smoked, vanilla-infused tobacco. It’s not like Side Effect; Narcotic is more nocturnal and dark; it’s a delight. I wore both on my arm; Side Effect smells harmless next to Narcotic.

This is a beautiful fragrance. For me, Initio is one of the best houses; their creations are on another level, different and unique. This Narcotic Delight is brutal. That cherry is crazy, and settled on tobacco, it becomes a smoked cherry inside a dark boozy bubble. Truly spectacular.

I had the chance to experience this fragrance at an INITIO event showcasing their latest launch, Narcotic Delight. It was a unique experience where everyone smelled it simultaneously on blotter and then on skin. It’s incredible how it transforms upon touching the skin. They told us that the HEDIONE note is responsible for its addictive quality. It belongs to The Carnal Blends Collection because it is an aroma designed to generate sexual attraction. On my skin, what stood out most was the cognac blended with tobacco and cherries; the other notes are subtle in the dry down. I liked it, but I felt it is very nocturnal, suited for clubs or places where you want to be the centre of attention, and I’m no longer in that stage of my life.

It’s not a blind buy; I always recommend trying it first. Despite the price, I recommend it fully. If you’re looking to define the concept of ‘being attractive’ and you’re fascinated by cherry-infused fragrances, Narcotic Delight won’t let you down.
Sweet tobacco with cherry, white flowers, and cognac. On my skin, it’s not a super potent or overly sweet cherry like many nowadays, which I appreciate. It’s a creamy red sweetness, very pleasant, mixing with the rather prominent stink, alongside the tobacco and a hint of cognac that adds a sexy, boozy touch. For me, it’s rich and addictive, boosted by black pepper that gives it personality without being sharp. Unisex, though slightly more feminine. It’s not for daily wear nor strictly for night; it has many occasions. It lasts 6-8 hours with moderate projection. Performance is worse than most Initio scents but acceptable. I wouldn’t buy it now as I’d use it in situations similar to my Rouge Smoking, so I don’t need it. I admit I enjoyed wearing it greatly, and if I find it at a good price… I won’t rule it out.
You shouldn’t hesitate to try it as a decant. It earns compliments; it’s an olfactory bomb that lasts and projects brilliantly. The scent is fantastic and unique; you won’t go unnoticed. It’s the perfume my girlfriend likes the most out of the fifty I own. It’s in the top five of tastings in my city, far above the luxury brands. Need more? Go for it.

Clearly a feminine scent with character. Very sweet, ideal for the chill of autumn and winter. Perfect for a woman who knows what she wants. I wouldn’t wear it myself as it lacks any masculinity. I see it as perfect for a girl aged 20 to 30. Best wishes.
It makes me feel more masculine than feminine due to the tobacco note, and it doesn’t last as long as other Initio scents. To be honest, it’s not for me; it smells of pure pepper and tobacco. Every nose is a different world.
