Descripción

Nitro Elixir by Dumont is a fragrance from the olfactive family for men. This creation, launched in 2025, is a new addition to the brand's collection. The nose behind this composition is Quentin Roussel. The top notes unfold with cardamom, orange, apple, and bergamot; the heart reveals orange blossom, praline, mint, and geranium; while the base notes settle on tonka bean, ambergris, amber, and moss.

  • One has to look at social media reviewers… People smell a hint of orange blossom and already think it’s a clone of MySLF.

  • I haven’t tested the Myself DNA to check the similarity, but on its own it smells great and people ask about it. The bergamot is very noticeable. Longevity is a strong point, something rare in fresh and citrus fragrances. I’ll try the Myself to see if they match, but I recommend this blindly. It’s my fourth Nitro (I already had White, Red and Red Intensely) and I’ve loved them all. My ranking: 1 Red, 2 Elixir, 3 White, 4 Red Intensely.

Just arrived and immediately seduced me without being invasive, simply attracting. It’s fresh, citrusy with a sweet touch at the start, then releases floral and juicy fruit notes. The scent is intense and lasts between 7 and 9 hours like the other Nitros. It has similarities to my Hawas Elixir, but without the mint or dark chocolate of that one, and some say it smells like ‘Bad Boy’ hahaha. It’s versatile for dates or parties, but won’t work if it’s over 30 or 35 degrees.

  • The Nitro Elixir is the fragrance people ask me about most often regarding what I’m wearing; apparently, this DNA is a favourite among women. I consider it very versatile, with good projection and a performance of around seven hours; a 10/10.

  • It is 80% similar to Azzaro Parfum, but I find the Azzaro better crafted. Honestly, I didn’t like it and I will be selling it.

  • Smells beastly like Azzaro Most Wanted Intense. I made the mistake of not checking the ‘similar to’ section before buying, which I always do. I bought two bottles of Most Wanted as it’s my signature scent and it was on offer xD. However, be warned: Nitro Elixir is very sweet, reminiscent of chocolate and caramel. Perfect for cold weather. It dominates that praline note everyone talks about. The orange is there but very subtle, and the bergamot is almost unnoticeable. It’s not fresh as many claim. Another hit for my collection and for the colder months.

  • I own both Myself versions and only at the beginning does it resemble the Myself EDP a little, but after 50% it diverges hugely, it doesn’t resemble it at all. It becomes too sweet, nothing like what everyone says. They also say it smells like L’Absolu, but I tried it in store and it doesn’t smell similar at all, perhaps very little at the start, then it’s very sweet and none of the collection is like that. I bought it and resold it in two days.

  • Straight out of the bottle it carries the Nitro Red DNA, but with orange instead of watermelon and a heavy cardamomo note. By the 20-minute mark, the YSL Myself vibe emerges with the bitter orange blossom very prominent. After an hour, the ambergris, tonka bean and amber make it feel more masculine than the original. I still prefer Nitro White, but this one projects better and garners more compliments.

Poor quality. It reminds me of Bharara fixatives; it’s super plastic. The opening is rich, but it dries down in two minutes and up close reveals that petrolised plastic tone. I can’t explain it, but the quality ruins everything. It seems people value a loud fragrance over a refined one; they want to go off like an atomic bomb… if it smells good initially, they don’t care, they just want something pleasant and long-lasting. I wouldn’t recommend it. I prefer Armaf Dubai Midnight, which shares the same vibe but beats this easily in quality.

  • I own both Myself and they only resemble each other by 50% at the start; afterwards, they diverge completely and bear no resemblance. It becomes far too sweet, nothing like what everyone claims. It’s also said to smell like L’Absolu; I just tried it in-store and am about to buy it to own all three, but if you think this resembles either of them, it does not. Perhaps there is a slight similarity at the very opening, but afterwards it is very sweet, whereas none of the collection is. I bought it and resold it within two days.

  • Good, pretty, and cheap scent. Nothing groundbreaking, but it delivers. Longevity, projection, and trail are all good. For the price paid, it seems like a solid option.

  • Good, pretty and cheap. Nothing revolutionary but it delivers. Longevity, projection and sillage are good. For the price paid, a good option.

  • My first impression was very pleasant, I liked the scent. I’m a fan of the Azzaro Most Wanted line and sweet perfumes. It smells very similar to Azzaro Most Wanted at first, but as it dries down it becomes more citrusy, the orange blossom is noticeable. It’s nothing innovative, but it’s fulfilling and long-lasting. I doubt its total versatility; although the citrus touch helps, it leans sweet, so I’m unsure about wearing it in summer. The price is fair, neither expensive nor cheap, just right. 9/10

  • My first impression was very pleasant; I liked the scent. As a fan of Azzaro’s The Most Wanted and sweet fragrances, this smells very similar to it at first, but as it dries down it becomes more citrusy, with the orange blossom coming through. It doesn’t innovate or take many risks, but it’s reliable and quite long-lasting. I doubt its versatility: that citrus touch makes it versatile, yet it leans sweet, so I’m unsure about wearing it in summer. On price, it’s good—neither expensive nor cheap, more on the cheaper side. 9/10.

  • Elixir light

If it’s undervalued, it’s a hidden gem, but if you don’t recommend it, it sounds overrated. The Nitro Elixir smells like the DNA of The Most Wanted with that modern spiced sweetness, featuring a vibrant cardamom opening and a seductive amber dry-down… although only if you refine the dry-down, as that’s where the quality dip becomes noticeable. Nothing to complain about for the accessible price.
