Nitro White by Dumont

It’s a marvel, a rich scent that captivates you. It has that Stronger vibe but with much more pronounced honey and iris, plus an amber touch that makes the dry-down an incredible olfactory experience. Especially considering its low price, it makes no sense. If you’re looking for an honest opinion to add it to your collection, don’t think twice, buy it tomorrow. The quality and scent are inexplicable, just like the praise it generates.

I barely notice the honey; I’d describe it as an iris with a sweet touch but not exaggerated. I recommend it because it’s neither risky nor cloying. The longevity is about 5 or 6 hours on my skin and the projection is moderate, nothing excessive. I’d buy it again, although it’s not world-class.

The vanilla and honey are very noticeable; it’s sweet. At first, I smelled juniper berries, but after macerating it, the opening changed and the vanilla and honey shone through. It feels like leather as a base, quite sweet. I don’t like leather perfumes like Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather, but this one seems super delicious to me. Excellent longevity of 9 or more hours. I don’t see it as very youthful, maybe for 25 to 30-year-olds. I’ve never heard anything similar; it’s quite unique and original, one of my favourites. The presentation is simple, a classic Nitro bottle, though it’s the only one I use from the line.

Brilliant, I don’t see any resemblance to the Red, perhaps to the Stronger line. It has a pleasant, sweet and very creamy scent, slightly powdery and clean. To me, it smells like honey syrup or with honey. It’s not cloying.

In essence, it’s a version of Nitro Red, but if I were to describe it thus, instead of emphasising that acidic fruity part (which was never watermelon, more like red fruits or tuttifrutti), White emphasises a creamy part. It seems like a cream or body lotion or hand soap with a soft aroma. The Invictus DNA persists in the opening and stays fresh, but from the juicy Red, it jumps to the creamy White. It lasts as long as the Red for over 8 hours on clothes and more than 3 on skin (don’t tell me fragrances).

I walked into Nitro with my hands behind my back because the red didn’t catch my eye, but this one left me speechless. It smells of tea with cinnamon, chamomile, and honey. I tried it on yesterday at my mother’s shop, which sells strawberries and cream, and at least seven people came over not just to buy something, but to ask what perfume I was wearing. The longevity is outstanding—even for me, who usually finds scents fade within two hours—and the projection is extraordinary.

Dumond Paris Nitro White: an oasis in the monotonous olfactory landscape of modern fashion. In a sea of launches where many houses, particularly those under the PUIG umbrella, seem to recycle formulas (vanilla with sugar, more ambroxan, and more of the same), Nitro White bursts onto the scene with a distinct proposal. Here, there is no intention of joining the herd. There is identity, intent, and presence. What strikes first is its balance between freshness and warmth, a contrast that few modern male fragrances achieve without failing. It doesn’t rely on cloying sweetness that has already grown tiresome, nor does it seek to resemble the latest flankers. Instead, it builds a robust structure, with notes that breathe and evolve without falling into predictability. The opening is clean, almost sparkling, with an aromatic sensation evoking purity and determination. Then, gradually, well-integrated woods emerge and a creamy base adds body without becoming heavy. There is no sticky vanilla here. There is magnetism, seduction, and masculinity. There may be a hint of sweetness, but it is restrained, masculine, and devoid of adolescent gestures. And that is what sets Nitro White apart: it does not attempt to imitate. It is still priced below what it offers. Not for much longer. It is one of those fragrances that, once the mass public discovers it, will likely see its price rise. So if you are drawn to the idea of having a modern olfactory signature that does not dilute itself in what the majority smells, this is the way to go. It’s a pleasure to find something like this: a fragrance that is not afraid to stand up to the big players, doing so without copying, without shouting, but with solidity. Dumond Paris may not have invented gunpowder, but they have done a great job with this composition. Do yourself a favour and try it before it moves up a league. Because one thing is clear: this fragrance plays above its current price category. Scent: 10/10. Projection: moderate to very high (depends on the number of sprays and whether you apply it to clothing; with more sprays, it can reach best mode). Longevity (2024 batch): over 10 hours. Occasions: very versatile, preferably in cold or fresh weather and spring/summer nights, why not. In autumn/winter, it works very well for daytime, evening wear, dates, parties, etc., regulating the number of sprays according to the situation.

What a crazy perfume! Truthfully, I didn’t like it at first because I felt it was more feminine, but over time, I grew to love it so much that I only keep the bottle to smell it. It is a gourmand scent, but not the typical kind; it is sweet yet different (at least for me, who am used to sweets like Scandal). I feel it is perfect for wearing white, a shirt, formal but not too much, with all the attitude for any night. All the notes stand out, though I also sense a smell like ‘sugar’; when I imagine a figurative image of how it smells, a pearl comes to mind… sweet, hard to explain, something crystalline (at least for me, it is a complex scent to describe), but a very unique, addictive, and gourmand aroma. Good longevity and good projection, the 3Bs, among the best I’ve heard this year regarding Arab fragrances.

I’ve been wearing this since 5 PM and it’s noticeable. I already own the Nitro Red, which is an absolute beast and this seems inspired by it, although the White is creamier, vanilla-based and more mature. The Red is fruitier, vibrant and youthful. I’ve barely used it since last year, but if I’ve tested it three times, that’s a lot. I’ve been testing it for weeks and wow, it has incredible charm; I dare say it’s a more refined scent than the Red, cleaner and softer without being weak. It looks great for daytime and for semi-formal or casual nights out. You’ll look good wherever you go, undoubtedly, in any season. This Dumont house didn’t have much of a following until everyone started talking about the Nitro Red. I have a loved one who owned it before the hype and every time they smelled it, it radiated from them and they took over the room. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, wholeheartedly, the white beast. Very pleasant, it will charm almost everyone. 9.5/10.

You could swap the entire Paco Rabanne, Dior, JPG and Invictus line for the Nitro Dumont range and you wouldn’t regret it. My only fear is that prices will equalise, given the high quality of this line, it would be a shame.

Another Dumont marvel… I’ve recommended few fragrances as much as the Nitro Red, with that popular Invictus DNA here and this one also delivered everything (and more). It resembles the Odyssey Homme (White) very much, that SWY dupe with Invictus notes in the opening, but here those notes are more marked. If you like either of those two, this surpasses both in longevity. That sweet SWY blend plus the freshness of Invictus makes this a win-win. I don’t know how the other Nitros are, but if they’re half as good as the Red and White, they’re already winning.

I experience something incredible with this fragrance: I apply it and it smells like herbal tea for about 30/40 minutes, then it changes completely and smells sweet of honey, amber, and leather; the dry down is the excellent part of the perfume. In my opinion, it is an excellent fragrance for daily use in fresh climates, as an all-rounder. EDIT ONE YEAR LATER: I stopped using it because it is very unisex, but it’s a matter of taste, although the surprising quality and longevity are worthy of an expensive perfume, which is not the case with all the Arabic scents.
