I sense a bit more quality than the Nitro Red Original (OG), but owning both is redundant. Although I notice that better quality, the watermelon note in the OG feels more attractive and youthful; here they’ve swapped it for melon, making it slightly more formal. It’s that watermelon note that draws attention to this family. The OG is Invictus plus watermelon; here it’s Invictus plus melon and a note I haven’t identified yet. I have both and they’re excellent: all-rounder, good longevity, and trail. Either is a fantastic blind buy, but if I had to recommend just ONE, I’d say go for the Nitro Red Original; it generally pleases more.
If fragrances that are said to be short-lived last long on my skin, imagine this. For those unfamiliar, it’s high quality, smelling of Invictus mixed with fruits, made in France, with a beautiful bottle, heavy magnetic cap. It’s total rock and roll, sweet in the current style without losing its masculinity, bright with an elegant woody base. This is beastly yet beautiful. If you don’t own either, buy this; if you already have the Red, wait for it to finish and switch to this. It’s simply the Red with clothes on, with quality detergent, and you can still smell it. As its name suggests, it’s the intense version. (Brava) Why comment on longevity? Perhaps exaggerated, but it makes me happy and I’d buy it again in a few years when the bottle runs out.
Dumont’s Nitro Red Intensely left me with mixed feelings. I bought it blind; the opening is pleasant but soon it sounds very synthetic. It smells sweet, fruity, and sparkling, yet with a low-quality gummy note: rich at first with that sweet punch that attracts, but with a rubbery texture that detracts from the enjoyment. It’s that duality of something that smells good but feels artificial at the core, like a caramel that promises more than it delivers. The good news is the bottle: impeccable, striking design, and a luxury magnetic cap. The contents don’t match the packaging. I wouldn’t buy it again. It doesn’t smell bad, it has a rich dry-down, but lacks naturalness and depth; it’s only half enjoyable. 6/10: fine for sampling, but not essential.
It bears a slight resemblance to Valentino Born in Roma Elixir, super loaded with amber. I’m not a huge fan; it smells nice and pleasant but isn’t addictive or particularly special. It suits those under 20, parties, and the like.
For those claiming it smells like Hawas Ice: no. It’s a similar DNA but more intense and fruity. They’ve stripped the freshness from Invictus Aqua and replaced it with artificial peach and overripe watermelon sweetness. Is it bad? No. Is it worth $45-50? Absolutely not. It performs well with a semi-decent aroma and good projection. Not a blind buy. 5/10. Note: smells like thick watermelon gum.
This smells twice as strong as the regular Nitro Red and isn’t worth it. It’s more intense and overpowering, lacking any freshness or pleasantness. The original is far superior.
A blend of Erba Pura with Invictus; once it dries down, those fruity and fresh notes are incredible.
