The nose behind it is Tzivia Segall, who crafted the scent around spikenard, a root that brings a rich, earthy presence to the fore, softened by green and floral nuances.
At the top, spikenard and Indian spikenard combine to produce a fresh yet subtly piquant opening, with an underlying earthiness that sets the tone for the whole composition.
The heart reveals galbanum and green spikenard, weaving an herbaceous and slightly resinous texture. The characteristic sharp greenness of galbanum is eased by the gentler, more rounded character of spikenard, creating a very natural and enveloping centre.
The foundation is built on Mysore sandalwood and orange blossom. The sandalwood offers a smooth, creamy woodiness, while the orange blossom brings a hint of sweetness and a radiant lightness that tempers the darker, earthier facets.
