Bvlgari launches Omnia Amethyste Eau de Parfum with a more intense iris
Alberto Morillas puts iris at the centre of Omnia Amethyste Eau de Parfum. The changes from the EDT, notes, bottle and availability.
Iris remains at the heart of Omnia Amethyste, but the new Eau de Parfum changes the notes around it. Alberto Morillas is once again the perfumer behind the Bvlgari fragrance, which opens with ambrette alongside iris and has a base of Bourbon vanilla and labdanum. The brand describes a creamier iris, with more pronounced violet and suede nuances.

Amethyst is still the inspiration. Bvlgari associates the Eau de Toilette with dawn light; for this launch, it turns to the stone’s purple tones at dusk. The bottle is darker too, though it retains the Omnia collection’s two intertwined rings.
A different setting for the iris in Omnia Amethyste
The Eau de Toilette’s listed notes open with pink grapefruit and green sap, followed by a heart of iris and rose. The Eau de Parfum begins differently: an iris petal accord sits alongside an ambrette accord, which the house describes as warm and musky. Iris appears twice in the composition, first as an accord and then as an absolute.
The petal accord recreates a floral impression; iris absolute comes from the rhizome, not the flower’s petals. Bvlgari highlights its suede-like texture, a quality it seeks to accentuate in the new version. At the heart, it is again paired with Damask rose absolute, one of the notes that link the fragrance to the EDT.
Bourbon vanilla and labdanum in the base
The published base notes are different, too. Where the Eau de Toilette lists heliotrope and solar woods, the Eau de Parfum lists Bourbon vanilla SFE and rockrose labdanum absolute. The house classifies the result as floral woody and describes a warm base with balsamic and resinous facets.
SFE refers to the vanilla extraction method, which uses supercritical CO₂. According to Bvlgari, the process preserves an aroma close to that of the vanilla pod.
Two sizes, available on the US website
Omnia Amethyste Eau de Parfum is made in Italy and comes in 50 and 100 ml. Bvlgari’s official US store offers them at 150 and 180 US dollars, respectively, before tax.
