The Balance by The Dua Brand is a leather fragrance intended for women and men. Issued in 2025 and composed by perfumer Mahsam Raza, it favours a compact, clearly legible structure.
It combines incense, osmanthus, leather, styrax and birch. The character is smoky, balsamic and amber-toned, with woody, warm spicy and gently animalic aspects.
Leather forms the core. Dry and polished, it asserts itself without severity, recalling finely tanned hide rather than a rough, uncompromising leather.
Incense and birch define the smoked dimension. Their resinous dryness and hint of warmed timber settle around the leather, adding depth whilst keeping the mood level and composed.
Osmanthus supplies the lightest touch. With its apricot and velvet-like quality, it lifts the darker material and stops the composition from becoming monolithic. Sweetness is kept firmly in check.
