Tabacco e Cashmere by Gabor Cosmetics is a spiced oriental for women and men, released in the 2020s. Despite its name, the mood is comforting and mellow rather than dense.
Orange, anise, coconut and camphor open the composition, leading to a base of woody notes, amber, vanilla, ginger and tonka bean. Expect a sweet, powdery and enveloping trail.
At first, juicy orange meets the milky roundness of coconut. Anise lends a fresh, almost herbal sweetness, and camphor adds a cool balsamic clarity that lifts the opening.
The middle brings heliotrope together with clove and cinnamon. Here the scent turns at its most powdery and subtly almond-like, with spice that warms without drying.
Underneath, woody notes join amber, vanilla, ginger and tonka bean. Tonka and vanilla create the gourmand softness, amber lends resonance, and ginger keeps the dry-down gently lively.
The progression is gradual, from crisp spice towards cream and then amber. The finish sits near the skin, smooth and neat, very much in keeping with the cashmere suggestion.
It is best suited to autumn and winter, daytime snugness through to evening. It wears as a quiet, shared wrap of warmth, ideal when you want presence without sharpness.
