About Spicy Wood
DeFacto Spicy Wood: Gentle Heat and Mellow Wood
Spicy Wood by DeFacto is a woody-spicy fragrance for men that contrasts an aromatic opening with a warmer, softer dry-down.
Rather than a stark dry wood, it leans towards sweet spice and a rounded balsamic base.
At the top, tart lime lemon meets sage. The lime gives brightness, the sage a green, herbal clarity that keeps the introduction fresh.
Through the middle, cardamom and cinnamon are joined by sweet notes. The cinnamon feels smooth and comforting, while the cardamom adds lift and aromatic spice.
The foundation combines balsamic notes, Amberwood and patchouli. Here the perfume becomes richer, with amber-toned woods and a subtle earthiness from patchouli.
As it develops, the citrus and herbs fade back to reveal the spiced, slightly sweet woody character. It is an easygoing, warming composition with a cosy finish.
It will suit those who enjoy mellow woody-spicy fragrances — cinnamon, soft sweetness and patchouli — with no sharp dryness.
A welcoming woody spice: lime and sage to begin, cinnamon-led sweetness at its centre, then balsamic Amberwood and patchouli to close.
