Confessions Absolu by Bujairami is a woody oriental scent made for women and men alike. The first impression is luminous and spiced, before the fragrance relaxes into a smoother, more comforting depth.
Rather than leaning on dark resins, it plays milky richness against crisp freshness, finishing with pale suede leather and vanilla.
At the top are bergamot, black pepper and pine needles. The bergamot feels bright, the pepper dry and piquant, the pine green and airy with a faint balsamic touch.
The centre brings butter, orris root and carrot seeds. This is the most unusual passage: a velvety, almost gourmand creaminess made delicate and powdery by orris.
Carrot seeds support that powdery iris character with a soft, earthy sweetness that keeps the blend rounded and calm.
Underneath, ambroxan, vanilla absolute and white suede form the foundation. Ambroxan lends gentle warmth, vanilla a restrained sweetness, and white suede a supple, light-leather finish.
On skin it moves from fresh citrus and green spice towards a lactonic, vanilla-tinged drydown. Comforting in texture, more carnal and creamy than smoky, with leathery, powdery and citrus nuances.
