Vanilla Rebel by Dossier is an Oriental Vanilla creation for women and men alike. Cosy sweetness meets a lively, spiced opening, setting up a contrast from the very start.
Instead of a soft, rounded vanilla, the composition favours character, allowing sugary warmth to rub shoulders with fresh, ambery and mossy elements.
Pepper, ginger and saffron shape the top. The impression is bright and faintly piquant, with an aromatic lift that keeps the nose alert before sweetness arrives.
At the heart, brown sugar is paired with lily of the valley and ylang-ylang. The result is gourmand yet kept in check, as the crisp white blossom brings clarity and the ylang lends a smooth, exotic creaminess.
The dry-down unites vanilla, tonka bean, ambroxan and oakmoss. Vanilla and tonka offer a warm, nutty sweetness, ambroxan extends an amber radiance, whilst oakmoss introduces a drier, green and earthy undertone.
Taken together, vanilla, sweet and warm spicy facets are tempered by fresh spice, amber, aromatic and mossy tones. It is this balance of indulgence and defiance that sets it apart from more conventional vanillas.
