At first spray the leather feels dry and grained, closer to worked hide than to a glossy finish. There is a smoky touch and a distinct animalic warmth running underneath.
Gradually the osmanthus base softens the picture, with apricot-like fruit, a whisper of pale blossom and a honeyed veil. It tempers the leather rather than masking it.
With nothing designated in the middle, the development feels like a slow dissolve. The roughness recedes by degrees as the fruitier, more floral side comes through.
