The opening pairs oud wood with clove. It smells dry and warm from the first spray, the clove lending a keen, aromatic spark to the timber note.
At the heart, rose and jasmine take over. The rose is rich and velvety with a darker edge, while jasmine contributes a brighter white-petalled freshness that lightens the composition.
Praline sits alongside the flowers with a roasted, mellow sweetness. Rather than steering towards dessert, it blunts the spice and cushions the move into the base.
Sandalwood, amber and musk form the foundation. Expect creamy sandalwood, a resinous amber glow and a soft, faintly powdery musk in the trail.
