Ya Layli, Bujairami's White Floral for After Dark
Ya Layli by Bujairami is an Oriental Floral scent for women, introduced in 2025. Devised by perfumer Adam Bujairami, it presents the night as radiant and close-wearing rather than heavy.
It opens with citrus-fruit brightness, broadens into a generous white-floral heart, and rests upon a warm, earthy drydown.
Pear and bergamot lead the opening. The bergamot lends a sharp, citrus lift, while the pear offers a rounded, juicy softness that smooths the first impression.
Through the middle, sambac jasmine, orange blossom and tuberose shape a three-part bouquet: green-edged and vibrant, clean and luminous, then creamy and opulent.
Underneath, ambroxan, patchouli, vanilla and vetiver supply the oriental warmth: amber-like glow and gentle sweetness held in place by a green, rooty earthiness.
The overall effect is a plush white floral, airy-fresh to begin with and faintly animalic later on. A feminine, evening-minded fragrance with depth and finish.
It will appeal to devotees of generous white flowers, tuberose and jasmine in particular, who favour a contemporary feminine oriental with freshness on top and patchouli and vanilla beneath.
