About Divine
Divine, an Oriental Floral of Pepper, Grape and Opoponax
Created by Sian Lee for UNDER THE PERGOLA and introduced in 2026, Divine is an Oriental Floral fragrance made for women and men.
The structure pairs pepper and grapes at the top with a rose and iris heart and a base of opoponax, white oud and vetiver.
Pepper and grape set the first impression. There is crisp spice against a juicier fruit note, giving a fresh-spiced brightness rather than overt sweetness.
Rose and iris then come forward. The rose feels expressive and floral, while iris lends a soft, powder-like polish that settles the bouquet.
Opoponax, white oud and vetiver form the foundation. The opoponax supplies balsamic amber character, the white oud a light, wrapping wood, and the vetiver a drier undercurrent.
Sweet, amber and balsamic facets run through the composition, framed by rose, iris and the earlier spiced freshness. The powdery quality smooths the passage from heart to base.
Designed to be shared, it holds flower, spice and resin in proportion, avoiding both a brooding oriental register and a conventional floral style.
It should appeal to wearers drawn to unisex Oriental Florals where fresh pepper, rose, soft iris and an amber-balsamic drydown meet.
In the end Divine reads as a measured progression: peppered grape brightness, a tender floral middle, and a composed base of opoponax, white oud and vetiver.
