The composition pairs rhubarb, pink grapefruit, bergamot and lemon blossom at the top with blackcurrant and rose at the heart, resting upon cedar, musk, vanilla and patchouli.
From the first spray the mood is effervescent and green. Pink grapefruit and bergamot provide a Mediterranean brightness, rhubarb lends a sharp, vegetal tang, and lemon blossom adds a soft white floral-aromatic nuance.
The heart is spare and well judged. Blackcurrant contributes a dark, juicy character with gentle astringency, lifting the rose and steering it away from sweetness. The rose itself feels dewy and petal-like.
