From L'AFFAIR, Noctis Amber is a woody-oriental fragrance for men introduced in 2026.
The concept turns on contrast: a sparkling fruity-citrus opening that gradually gives way to dry timber, musk and amber depth.
Up top are blackcurrant and peach with bergamot and orange, sharpened by elemi. The impression is succulent and zesty, with just enough resinous edge to add shape.
At the centre, lily of the valley and violet meet rhubarb and caramel. The texture becomes creamier and more powder-like, while rhubarb lends a sour-green counterpoint to the gourmand note.
Underneath lie tonka bean, cedarwood, musk, ambroxan, oakmoss and vetiver. Here the sweetness recedes and an earthier, wood-led character comes forward.
In broad terms the accords span aromatic and woody through fruity and citrus, with sweet, powdery, musky, green and ambery inflections. The development reads clearly from brightness to dusk.
Worn in the evening, it allows its fresher and darker sides to unfold in sequence rather than all at once.
