Santal Soie from Sentire is a woody oriental fragrance for all, released in 2026. Devised by nose Nata Dyshliuk, it offers a mellow, comforting reading of sandalwood.
Bitter orange, Sicilian bergamot and Ceylon cinnamon shape the opening, while vanilla, tonka bean, Mysore sandalwood and musk form the foundation.
At first it is luminous and lightly spiced. The bitter orange lends tonic bitterness, the Sicilian bergamot provides neat citrus clarity, and the Ceylon cinnamon warms the blend without weighing it down.
Immortelle, lavender and bourbon geranium take over in the heart. The effect is herbal and aromatic, lavender keeping things fresh and tidy as the other florals ease the composition towards the base.
Mysore sandalwood then settles with vanilla and tonka bean on a cushion of musk. The sweetness is measured rather than heavy, vanilla-led and creamy, very much in keeping with the silk suggested by Soie.
Taken together, it balances citrus freshness and an aromatic core against a cosy woody warmth. The character remains fully unisex, neither leaning to classic masculine nor to overtly gourmand territory.
