About Vampyr
Vampyr: A Shadowy Woody-Oriental from Statik Olfactive
Statik Olfactive's Vampyr arrived in 2026 as a woody-oriental creation for women and men.
Composed by nose Arina P. Franzén, it leans into the nocturnal whilst retaining brightness at the start.
It opens on blood orange, red berries and plum, joined by angelica, cognac, bay leaf and rosewood. There is ripe, dark fruitiness tempered by aromatic greenness and a liqueur-like warmth.
At the heart, violet, May rose and cashmere woods enfold red wine and ambrette seed. The blood accord lends a subtle, ferrous glint — suggestive rather than overt.
The base draws out incense, Siam benzoin and patchouli upon grey amber. Buddha wood, ebony, Haitian vetiver, moss and white musk lend a dry, earthy, timbered support.
The character is woody, amber and fruity at its centre, musky and sweet with warm spice. Fresh-spiced, earthy, balsamic and mineral facets lend lift and keep the richness poised.
From blackened fruit through wine and blossom to resin and timber, the progression favours evening wear and cooler weather, when incense can develop at leisure.
It will suit devotees of nocturnal unisex scents built around dark fruit, wine, rose and incense, and those who favour balsamic woody-orientals with a mossy finish.
Vampyr balances drama with restraint: tenebrous in theme, harmonious on skin. A coherent woody-oriental made for hours after dusk.
