Its listed facets — galbanum, southernwood, moss, smoke, tar, white oud, oud wood and concrete — sit side by side as one fabric, without any staged sequence.
Galbanum and southernwood give the herbal, aromatic colour. The effect is a bitter green lifted by a cool spiced freshness, more hedgerow than garden in manner.
Moss lends a mossy, earthy and green tonality. Damp foliage and lichen-like textures come to mind, closely tied to the herbal material.
The concrete facet contributes a mineral quality. Reminiscent of stone and pale building matter, it feels matte and cool, lending an architectural firmness.
Smoke and tar provide the smoky character. They remain dense and bitter, suggestive of scorched, dark substance with a coarse grain, alongside everything else.
