About Ambre Animal
Ambre Animal: OBART's Most Untamed Vanilla Amber
New for 2026, Ambre Animal joins the OBART line-up as an Oriental Vanilla scent for both women and men, created by nose Marine Mercé.
Incense, rum and vanilla lead the opening, amber, ambroxan and tonka bean form the heart, whilst Tolu balsam, white musk and Indonesian patchouli leaves shape the base.
From the first spray, arid incense smoke is warmed by rum and softened by creamy vanilla. The effect is dark yet welcoming, establishing that tension between tenderness and wildness.
The middle section places amber front and centre, bolstered by ambroxan and tonka bean. A powdery, gently spiced character comes through, lending a rounded, cocooning feel.
Towards the base, Tolu balsam brings a honeyed, balsamic richness, lightened by white musk and lifted by the greener side of Indonesian patchouli leaf.
Taken together, it is a warm, sweet, musky and balsamic Oriental, unisex in spirit and best suited to evenings and colder months when its enveloping character can unfold.
It should appeal to devotees of vanilla-led orientals and amber blends, particularly those who favour warm, sweet sillage with a whisper of incense. Ideal for anyone after a comforting yet distinctive unisex scent.
In Ambre Animal, OBART offers a contemporary amber for 2026, with vanilla, rum, tonka and balsams poised between powdery softness and animalic pulse. One to try if you favour cosy orientals with character.
