Bergamot, lavender, clary sage and aromatic notes form the top, spicy notes, pepper and iris shape the heart, and vanilla, chestnut, Amberwood and musk form the base.
At first, the emphasis is on freshness. Citrusy bergamot lightens the lavender, and clary sage lends a dry herbal quality that keeps the opening fresh-spiced rather than sweet.
Gradually the heart becomes drier and more powdery. Pepper adds crisp definition, the spice notes lend gentle heat, and iris contributes that neat, powder-soft elegance.
The base then settles into a clearly Oriental Vanilla mood. Vanilla, creamy with a balsamic side, is joined by chestnut with its roasted nuttiness, resting on Amberwood and musk.
Amberwood supplies a warm, woody frame while musk blurs the edges for a cosy, clean-skin feel. Vanilla and musk lead, but the aromatic lavender memory lingers.
