Max Mara

Achille Maramotti founded the first company of the Max Mara Group in 1951. The house became an international women's prêt-à-porter firm and maintains a network of brands and stores in various markets. Its history is based on the industrial manufacture of garments and an identity linked to coats.

Max Mara's entry into perfumery was formalised with the long-term agreement announced with Shiseido in 2023. The pact provides for developing fragrances under the house's name, while the fashion business continues to be managed from the Italian group. Launches may vary by country and season.
