Mexx was born in Amsterdam in 1986, when Rattan Chadha united his brands Moustache and Emanuelle. The name was formed from the first letter of each and two kisses, represented by XX. Since then, Mexx has developed as a Dutch fashion brand with collections for women and men.
The company has also marketed fragrances under the name Mexx, alongside clothing, footwear and accessories. Mexx today focuses mainly on fashion, although it maintains perfume as part of its offering. Its presence in perfumery is therefore an extension of the fashion brand, not a house dedicated solely to perfume.
