Tabac began in Germany with a men's soap launched in June 1951. In October 1952 the brand added the name Tabac Original to distinguish itself from imitations. In 1959 came the aftershave lotion, the pre-shave product for electric razors and the eau de cologne.
The range grew with the Eau de Toilette of Tabac Original in 1990 and the Tabac Man family. The current website separates fragrances, body care and barber products. The catalogue retains aftershave, eau de cologne, eau de toilette and sets.
