Blue Incense by Massimo Dutti is an olfactive fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2023, this composition is signed by perfumer Ane Ayo. The top notes feature cardamom and lemon, with their characteristic acidity, delivering a fresh and vibrant opening. The heart reveals a spiritual and earthy depth thanks to moss, olibanum frankincense, balsam fir, and labdanum. The base closes the structure with lasting elegance, combining incense, Peru balsam, and patchouli.

It reminds me remotely of Oud For Glory; it’s an incredible scent and I see it as perfect for everyday wear.
It is as similar to Oud For Glory as I am to Henry Cavill. In any case, it is closer to Loewe 7 Anonyme. I would almost say that for 99.99999999999% of the wear time…
It resembles Oud For Glory as much as I resemble Henry Cavill. In any case, its relationship with Loewe 7 Anonyme is direct. I’d almost say they are 99.99999999999% identical.
It opens identical to 7 Anonyme, but as it dries down it becomes fruitier and loses that marked incense and spice note.
To me, it smells more like dry Loewe 7, as it keeps that apple acidity that Anonyme lacks; plus, it has a watery touch.
It is identical to 7 Anonyme at the start, but as it dries down, it smells more fruity and less like incense or spices.
Blue Incense: It begins with cardamom spices and a touch of lemon. Then everything fades and leaves a green and balsamic scent where fir and incense dominate. In the end, it is a green, resinous and balsamic blend with fir, incense, patchouli and Peru balsam very present. It lasts about four hours and is noticeable for 1-2 hours. It is green, resinous and balsamic; it starts spicy and evolves into a very marked Peru balsam and incense. Its weak point is the projection and longevity, which are scarce; I would have liked a stronger initial impact. Regarding the claim that it smells like Loewe 7 or 7 Anonyme, I disagree: although the opening recalls it a little, it is totally different, with Blue Incense being much greener and resinous.
Blue Incense: Spiced opening with cardamom and a soft lemon note. Middle: The blend fades and the scent turns green and balsamic, highlighting fir and incense. Final dry-down: A green, resinous, and balsamic combo where fir, incense, patchouli, and Peru balsam stand out. Projection and longevity: Projection lasts about 1–2 hours and longevity sits around 4 hours. Conclusion: Green, resinous, and balsamic. Its scent is a succession of green and resinous notes, starting slightly spiced and evolving into very noticeable Peru balsam and incense. It’s true that its weak point is projection and longevity, which are scarce; I would have liked to feel a stronger punch. Regarding its similarity to Loewe 7 and Loewe 7 Anonyme, I couldn’t disagree more: although the opening might recall them slightly, it completely distinguishes itself, being Blue Incense much greener and resinous.
The dry-down of Blue Incense is intense, citrusy, with a slight but noticeable sweetness. The blend of incenses (mind the delicacy here) with moss, patchouli, or fir gives it a very green, damp, and natural character; Peru balsam adds the resinous note for extra glory. At first, it might remind you of Loewe 7, but Blue Incense has other intentions: it’s much greener, incense-heavy, and citrusy, as the lime accompanies almost the entire life of the fragrance. Not a joke with this little gem from Massimo Dutti, which has surprised me greatly in little time with Red Evening and Black Evening, both true wonders. To me, Blue Incense feels elegant and nocturnal regardless of the weather because it has a fresh touch that gives it great versatility; it’s potent and noticeable, yet not invasive. Sincerely, I think if a perfumerie house released it, they’d easily sell it for triple its value and receive wonderful reviews; it could even be another flanker for Loewe 7, although (now I’ll get pelted) Blue Incense I like quite a bit more than the current L7. In short, if you like incense, patchouli (which here is a marvel), and the scent of a green conifer forest at dawn drenched in dew, try this precious little treasure. It has fascinated me, seems like a true delight, and has me completely hooked. Very good longevity, good projection. P.S.: Blue Incense eats almost any incense in its price range without blinking an eye.
Blue Incense opens with an intense, citrusy and slightly sweet note, where the blend of incense (a nod to delicacy here) with moss, patchouli or fir creates a super-green, damp and natural character, while Peru balsam adds that resinous touch for extra glory. At first, it might remind you of Loewe 7, but Blue Incense has other intentions: it is far greener, more incense-heavy and citrusy thanks to the lime that accompanies the fragrance almost throughout its life. No joke about this little gem from Massimo Dutti, which has surprised me greatly in a short time with Red Evening and Black Evening, both true marvels. To me, Blue Incense feels elegant and nocturnal regardless of the weather because it has a fresh touch that gives it great versatility; it is potent and noticeable, yet not invasive. Honestly, I think if a perfumery house released this, they would easily sell it for triple its price with incredible reviews; it could even be another flanker for Loewe 7, although (now I know I’ll be pelted with stones) Blue Incense I like much more than the current L7. In short, if you enjoy incense, patchouli (which here is a marvel) or the scent of a coniferous forest at dawn with dew… try this precious creation. It has fascinated me, it is a delight and keeps me hooked. Longevity and projection are very good. P.S.: Blue Incense devours almost any incense in its price range without blinking.
Well, yes, I’ve finally found the substitute for the original Loewe 7: a brutally soft incense and a fine, constant lime, all green, clean, forest-like, and mossy. A masterpiece.
Blue Incense by Massimo Dutti is spiced, incensey, and balsamic. The opening is spice and incense with an amber touch, which soon yields to a balsamic aroma with a woody-green note, perhaps fir, making it less dark and very wearable for daytime. The dry-down stays on incense with fresh spices without many twists. It’s not that dark, so it goes well for day and night. Some compare it to Loewe 7 and I’m right, even more so than with Anonyme, though it also has something of that fragrance. I see it as ideal for daily wear in spring, autumn, and winter, for the office or casual outings. Longevity is good, over 10 hours, although the sillage is average for the first hour before dropping.
The most similar perfume to Loewe 7 Anonyme on the market, at a lower price. Longevity, quality, and projection are visibly inferior, but it’s a good substitute that can be reapplied without issue. Try before you buy.
Blue Incense by Massimo Dutti is a spiced, incensey, and balsamic fragrance. The opening is spicy and incense-heavy with an amber touch. A few minutes in, a balsamic note rises, but there’s also a slightly woody-green accord, perhaps balsam fir, which prevents it from smelling too dark; in fact, it’s wearable for daytime. The dry-down doesn’t offer many twists, staying incensey with some fresh spices. As I said, it’s not that dark, so it works for day or night. Some say it resembles Loewe 7, and I agree, even more so than Loewe 7 Anonyme, though it does share some DNA with that scent. I think it functions well as a daily wear in spring, autumn, and winter, for the office or casual outings. The longevity is good; it’s lasted me over 10 hours, although the sillage is only average for the first hour before fading.
