  Hello Guzbus! If you know Givenchy’s Gentlemen Only Absolute or Karl Lagerfeld’s Private Klub, this smells very similar to both. The longevity doesn’t come anywhere near those, but it’s still a very good fragrance. Hope this helps. Best regards.

  I came across this fragrance on an afternoon at El Corte Inglés; the bottle caught my eye for its elegance and modernity. Upon application, it filled me with a great sense of optimism. It begins fresh, evolving into a spicy note with a pleasant, masculine pepper, harmonised with clean lavender and patchouli. It is not as dark as the bottle suggests; it is ethereal, with plenty of pepper and patchouli, creamy vanilla and deep yet youthful wood. Very versatile for day and night, any style, it suits a relaxed and seductive young man perfectly. Performance is superb with considerable trail. Created by Jacques Huclier, a guarantee of quality at an interesting price. Highly recommended, with a seductive spirit.

  Stopped by El Corte Inglés and the bottle caught my eye – elegant and modern. Upon trying it, a wave of optimism washed over me. It starts fresh, then turns spicy with masculine pepper, clean lavender and patchouli. It’s not as dark as it looks; instead, it’s ethereal, with creamy vanilla and young wood. Suitable for day and night, perfect for a laid-back yet seductive type. Performance is superb with a considerable trail. Jacques Huclier signs off with a guarantee and fair price. Highly recommended, it has a seductive spirit.

  Although aimed at those over 25, it boils down to lavender and vanilla with a touch of pepper. Something fresh, creamy and subtly sweet. I see it as versatile but not for every occasion; it does not compete with 1 Million or Invictus, nor with sugary youthful fragrances. It is more classic and mature. A good option for spring or autumn afternoons and evenings, with semi-formal or formal attire. In heat it can be strong due to its excellent longevity. Scent: 8, Versatility: 7.5, Longevity: 9, Projection: 7, Trail: 8. Bottle and atomiser are lovely.

  I tested it on skin; it’s rich with a medium synthetic opening. The downside is that it reminds me of several scents on the market, so I’ll pass on this one. Oh, on paper it smells like shampoo.

  I’m not sure, but the opening from minute one reminds me of Versace Blue Jeans, and its dry-down is similar to Jean Paul Gaultier Aviator. For an Eau de Parfum, the projection is good, but the longevity is poor. Apart from that, it’s a very rich scent overall.

  A fragrance that surprised me yet offers nothing novel; very similar to YSL La Nuit de l’Homme due to the lavender, though I prefer Boucheron with its more citrusy opening; YSL dries down to musk, whereas this settles into pepper, vanilla and woods. Compared to my 2017 Nuit de l’Homme, Boucheron performs better: not a bomb, lasting a maximum of 7 hours with 3 hours of projection. I was surprised by the low price. It shares similarities with Gentleman Only Absolute, but Givenchy has a more pronounced nutmeg note.

  Projects and lasts longer than it appears at first. Pleasant and easy-to-wear aroma, worth trying. It sits in the vanilla line but has its own personality. Suitable for day and night, versatile for any occasion. Works better in fresh seasons than in intense heat. I own little of it and it’s already in my favourites.

  Ideal for everyday wear; a quality scent with notes everyone enjoys, featuring lavender and old, reliable vanilla. Moderate longevity, fully recommended; if it had near beast mode projection, it would be my signature.
