  • It’s been a while since I smelled such a good peony, and I want to add it to my collection. The bottle is gorgeous. PV is a very refined floral with a subtle touch of praliné, sweet orange, and honey that at first seems like anything, but its magic lies in the evolution: the mid-phase with honey and cedar, and the dry-down with that smoky benjoin that gives it character and makes it unique. After half an hour, it smells delicious, very feminine, radiating joy and comfort. Ideal for the coquettish who want to be noticed without disturbing. It’s been a long time since I liked anything from Boucheron so much until now. Another great job by my favourite Nathalie Lorson (and Oliver Cresp); it reminded me of my Donna Trussardi 2011, although this is softer and less fruity-citrus than that one.

It’s been a while since I smelled such a pleasant peony; I’d love to own it. The bottle is beautiful. PV is a delicate floral with praliné, sweet orange, and honey (in that order). At first, it seems like others, but its evolution makes it special: the mid-phase with honey and cedar, and the dry-down with a smoky benjoin that makes it unique. After half an hour, it is delicious, feminine, and radiates joy and comfort. Ideal for the coquettish who don’t want to be intrusive but still want to be noticed. It’s been a long time since I liked anything from Boucheron so much; now I definitely want to buy it. Great work by Nathalie Lorson and Oliver Cresp; it reminded me a bit of my Donna Trussardi 2011, although this is softer and less fruity-citrus.

  • This perfume needs time to develop; half an hour or more. At first, it just smells of peony and orange blossom, then the praliné timidly appears. It is very soft with moderate sillage. I prefer the dry-down, although it is noticeable. I see it as a summer scent, for hot days, more for daytime; at night, I think it would go unnoticed.

Refined and elegant, very distinguished and subtle. Original and fresh. I’d wear it in the morning for work or in the afternoon. It seems more suitable for summer.

  • What a joy! I was looking for something sweet but not cloying. The bottle caught my eye in the shop, but the scent is even better. The notes are perfect; the honey gives just the right amount of sweetness with incredible longevity and sillage, typical of Boucheron. If you want something that starts strong and leaves a mark, give it a try!!!!

  • I just bought this perfume blind; unfortunately, the perfumery didn’t have testers, so I just hope I haven’t made a mistake. Some time ago I asked on the forum what they suggested and a user gave me a list where this alternative was included. I checked the notes and it seemed a good idea to buy it. In a moment I’ll open it (with a heavy heart, it looks so pretty sealed) and write a review. Hours later… I’ve opened it, sprayed it once on my wrist, and I haven’t been able to tear my nose away from it! I might seem exaggerated, but I’ll be honest: as soon as I smelled it, my eyes filled with tears. It was what I was looking for, a delicious, sweet, soft, and personal scent. Different from what I was used to. I declare myself a fan of Boucheron. Thank you, many thanks to azuriiita for attending to my query on the forum; this was what I was looking for (although it’s not the scent of a perfume I’ve been following, with this I can say I’ll be unique. Who else knows it in my country? Nobody. Here there are plenty of Carolina Herrera, Paco Rabanne, and Nina Ricci, but Boucheron?). The first thing I smelled was a citrus aroma, but so soft, nothing intrusive (I don’t like citrus); a smell of orange bubbled up happily before giving way to the sweetness of honey. It reminded me of the typical honey candles in Catholic churches. A pleasant, warm, and sweet honey scent intermingled with flowers, and now that minutes have passed, I feel a shy praline note. It’s grand and elegant. On me, the honey stands out, but it’s a delicious honey scent. This blind purchase was worth it.

  • I bought it blind, without testers, fearing I might be wrong. I asked on a forum and a user suggested this alternative. A short while later, I opened it (heartbreak, it looks so beautiful sealed) and I couldn’t tear my nose away from it. I barely smelled it and my eyes welled up. It was exactly what I was looking for: delicious, sweet, soft, and with personality. I declare myself a fan of Boucheron. Thanks to azuriiita for the help on the forum. At first, it was a soft citrus, nothing intrusive (I don’t like citrus), a cheerful orange scent that gave way to the sweetness of honey, like the honey candles in Catholic churches. A warm and sweet scent with flowers, and now I sense a timid praliné. It is grand and elegant. On my skin, the honey stands out, delicious. The blind purchase was worth it.

  • I was looking for a new fragrance to alternate with Chanel Chance and the sales assistant offered me this. As soon as I applied it, I thought it was wonderful. Very floral, elegant, and sophisticated. I almost bought it straight away, but decided to wait to see how it developed. And glad I did. After 40 minutes, the only thing I could smell was pepper, just pepper. Definitely not for my skin. What a pity, because I know where I live it’s a fragrance that practically isn’t used and I love that a perfume makes me feel exclusive. But well… I’ll keep looking.

  • Place Vendôme by Boucheron is an oriental floral where honey, orange blossom, jasmine, and praline predominate over a soft base with roses, peony, and cedar. It’s a very pretty and romantic perfume; on my skin it lasts about 6 to 8 hours with a moderate trail. I like it for afternoons and warm evenings, although it works perfectly in cooler climates too.

I tried this perfume today; it seemed nice but I couldn’t find much personality. A soft sweet, but nothing more… According to the sales staff, they are discontinuing it. Edit: this afternoon I put on the jumper I wore yesterday and smelled a very pleasant scent that wasn’t any of the ones I own. Immediately my nose went to my right wrist and there it was. I smelled my wrist and could feel it as if I had just applied it. After a while, I didn’t understand anything, until I remembered that yesterday I had tested Place Vendôme on that hand and dismissed it. What surprises me most is that it transferred from the wool cuff to my skin, and after hours, I can still perceive it. I insist, I don’t find it very defined in its notes, but that is what makes it refined and delicate. It’s undoubtedly a quality perfume. Perhaps I’ll give it another chance, especially if we won’t have it anymore. Regarding the discontinuation, the price-quality ratio is very favourable.

  • What an olfactory design masterpiece! When asked about my favourite fragrance, I reply that more than the name, it’s the designer and the signature. Boucheron is refinement, and this luxurious perfume is no exception. The notes of pepper, honey, praline, and jasmine with orange blossoms make this perfume a sensory juice, an elixir full of beauty. Without a doubt, it’s one of my favourites with the seal of good perfumes.

  • MdmButterfly

Good, cheap, and pretty. It lasts for hours and is super-elegant. I tried it alongside Chanel Chance… it costs three times less, lasts six times longer, and is twice as feminine.

  • Excellent perfume, lasts a long time, and initially smells of coconut, I don’t know why, as it’s not in the ingredients, but it’s a proper perfume. Smells of sweet flowers and its aroma is uncommon.

  • 4597674mel

Slightly sweet and woody, smelling of cedar. It’s a fine, super-elegant fragrance, perfect for going out at night all year round. It’s not cloying and left me surprised. I’d buy it again without hesitation. Giving it 10 out of 10.

  • pathypooh

A rich, elegant, and very pleasant perfume. It smells like freshly opened wooden pencils to me, very woody. It’s wonderful and I’ve loved it immensely.

  • Patrick Suskind

What a marvel. It’s from my wife’s collection and I am fascinated by it. It smells of class and good taste. Without giving too many details, for me it is like a box of makeup pencils with a floral note where rose and frosted orange reign. A gourmand dry-down without being cloying. The downside is that it doesn’t project much and its longevity could be a bit longer. It is much better than average designer perfumes, although that mix of rose and wood takes it away from the taste of the majority. It certainly deserves more recognition than it has. PD: What a good perfumer Nathalie Lorson is.

What a wonder. It belonged to my wife’s collection, and I am personally fascinated by it. It exudes class and savoir-vivre. Without going into details, it reminds me of a box of makeup pencils with a floral note where rose and frosted orange dominate. A gourmand dry-down that is not cloying. It is a pity it does not project excessively and that its longevity is not a little longer. This is much better than average designer perfumes, although that note of rose and wood distances it from the masses’ taste. It deserves greater recognition. PS: What a fine perfumer Nathalie Lorson is.

  • This perfume is a beast for everyday wear. It smells of white flowers, neroli, and jasmine, with a spicy touch of pepper and a base of honey and cedar. For some reason I don’t know, I always wear it in winter because of that honey note, but since it is not excessively sweet, I am going to try it in summer too, as other girls enjoy it that way. It has moderate sillage and lasts about 7 hours on my skin, although it stays on clothes much longer. I admit it is light, and to get 100% out of it, I have to apply quite a bit. I wear it for informal occasions, but it has a certain elegance. In comparisons, although they have said it ad nauseam with Illicit by Jimmy Choo, I see similarities but not enough to be redundant. Yes, both carry honey and jasmine, but Illicit is much sweeter, creamier, and less floral, more cosy but less elegant. The one it resembles much more is the classic Roberto Cavalli EDP; this is softer and lacks that marked vanilla character. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy it again? Probably yes.

  • Very special, impossible to get bored of this wonder. It is soft, elegant, and unlike anything else. Cedar, orange blossom, honey, and let the world rot; you can already float in your cloud.

  • MINERVparfums

Firstly, I must say I adore having it in my collection. Its name is a tribute to the Place Vendôme, a historic square located north of the Tuileries Garden and east of the Église de la Madeleine. In its centre stands the column erected by Napoleon in 1810; it was here that the house Boucheron first opened its jewellery shop. Its aroma exudes class and sophistication. It is a spicy woody floral, with no sugary little flowers or fruits. There are spicy white flowers wrapped in a respectful citrus accord that never dominates the forefront. Then, spectacularly, the honey and rose make their entrance, hand in hand, leading to that cedar base. Imagine a great old cedar tree when its resins emerge and drip, and beside it, a magnificent rose bush with delicate bud roses, not prickly. Performance: it lasts about six hours on skin and a couple more on clothes, with moderate trail and projection. I lack words to explain the beauty of this underrated fragrance. Fun fact: it bears a great resemblance to Illicit by Jimmy Choo, another underrated scent. The main difference is that Illicit is less floral and more gourmand, with a sweet bomb base (honey, amber, vanilla, caramel) that makes it lovely but not elegant. In contrast, Place Vendôme is elegant and refined; it is like a well-dressed woman on the third floor with red lipstick matching her heels. I adore both, each with its own magic.

  • Beautiful and elegant. On me, it smells of wood, rose, white flowers, and a hint of honey in the distance, with a subtle pepper note, particularly in the opening. After some time, the pepper fades and disappears, allowing the cedar to blend with the flowers, especially the rose, until the very end. It is elegant and would suit a man well, as the cedar becomes prominent from the start, yet without being overpowering.

  • Perla Vencis

I couldn’t expect less from Nathalie Lorson and Oliver Cresp, two of my favourite perfumers. This duo has created a beautiful scent. The name evokes the historic square in the centre of Paris, where the Boucheron house had its first jewellery store. To me, the bottle is lovely and eye-catching, simulating the Vendôme Column erected by Napoleon in 1810. The opening is very pleasant (orange blossom, tangerine, pepper, and rose); I perceive a lot of citrus. In the heart, the floral chords stand out. It closes with benzoin and a notable cedar. It’s floral (rose, peony, jasmine) with slight sweet touches and a beautiful woody dry-down. It comes out of the wardrobe in autumn; I think that’s when it develops best. Although they say it’s discontinued, it’s still available. I’ve just bought my second bottle and want to review the eau de toilette as well. The longevity is about 6 hours. It’s worn to the office without bothering anyone and is suitable for formal dates.

  • I’ve wanted this for some time. It has gone unnoticed by reviewers, which I like because sometimes you find unmassified gems. The few good reviews and its comparison to my beloved Illicit by Jimmy Choo made me buy it before it disappeared. It’s a good perfume, smelling expensive without being so. It’s a sweet, clean floral. The presentation is impeccable: solid glass, a metal cap decorated like a jewel, and a gold plate; it weighs a fortune. If you’re looking for something that reminds you minimally of Illicit, this isn’t it. I’ve had several bottles and refills because I love it, but this Place Vendôme, with its very sweet jasmine, doesn’t remind you of it. For me, it was a disappointment because I was looking for that. My expectations were high. To my nose, it’s spring, very much in the line of Quatre by Boucheron. It’s elegant, sophisticated without trying too hard, smells feminine, mature, and refined. Sweet flowers that dry down to a clean scent, like an expensive body cream. The longevity is good on skin, 3 or 4 hours well perceived, then it fades to 8 hours at skin level. The price is good; 100ml is around 30-35€. It seems to be discontinued, so if you wanted it, now is the time before the price goes up.

  • I didn’t like it at first. It has a strong opening, very spicy, with cedar as the star. At first impression, it seems very strong and woody, but I gave it a chance and magic happened. As it dries down, the wood, honey, and benzoin blend deliciously. It’s different, ideal for a formal afternoon, evoking a cabin or a mountain walk. The only downside is that, given how strong it smells, I expected it to last longer; on my skin, it’s already soft after an hour and I have to lean in close to detect it.

  • It didn’t win me over. The first time I wore it, I got a headache. It’s very honeyed and floral, super elegant, giving the impression it’s for older, more formal women. We just didn’t have a match… The only thing that really stands out is the bottle; it’s divine, with a beautiful, heavy cap.

  • I couldn’t fall in love with this fragrance; the first time a perfume has given me a headache. It is very woody and floral, super elegant, and gives me the impression that it is for dressing very formally and being older than me. Simply put, we didn’t match… What I do want to highlight is the bottle, divine, with a lovely and heavy cap.

  • It suits autumn and winter perfectly. The blend of honey and white flowers is very noticeable. I don’t think it’s for very young people, but it’s incredibly comfortable for dressing up for work.
