Chariot by Boadicea the Victorious is an oriental floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition features an olfactive pyramid that begins with top notes of red berries, blackcurrant, apple, lime and bergamot. The heart unfolds a harmony of rose, nutmeg, cherry blossom, cardamom, ylang-ylang, jasmine, freesia, neroli and nardos. The base rests on a warm and complex foundation of oud wood, vanilla, benzoin, saffron, sandalwood, musk, Egyptian papyrus, patchouli, cedar and moss.

A ‘white carriage’ that smells of spring: Chariot is fruity in name but floral at its heart, with a very soft vanilla-musk-moss base. The white flowers dominate the rose, so if you love florals, you’ll adore it. It’s unisex, with a slight feminine lean. The scent is linear, versatile, and of medium longevity. It’s a gem from Boadicea’s budget line that deserves to be known (alongside Ardent, Imperial and Iceni) if you’re seeking this profile. If you can’t afford Begum by Xerjoff, this is an excellent option that doesn’t try to copy it but rather to stand equal to it. Both are floral-fruity unisex-feminine scents. At first, I thought about selling the bottle as it only seemed pleasant, but with wear it ‘took root’ and stayed in my collection. A fine fragrance.
