  It’s hard to be surprised by a perfume when the brand seems intent only on selling. I understand the business, but it’s not all about money. Boadicea keeps releasing new scents and losing credibility; in ten years they’ve launched over 150, the joke tells itself. ➡️ Nefarious is a rose with a touch of peach (don’t expect something sweet) and saffron that defines the composition. If you don’t like saffron, it’s unlikely to appeal to you. It’s all set against an amber and musky (synthetic) base. It’s unisex, though it leans slightly feminine. Performance is good, projection is moderate, and quality is decent. It’s not bad, but it feels redundant; I wouldn’t rank it among the brand’s top ten. For those who know Guerlain’s Santal Royal, Nefarious is similar, and I wouldn’t dare say the quality is better than Guerlain’s. YSL’s Splendid Wood is very similar and it’s a tough fight. What Boadicea sells for hundreds of dollars, YSL and Guerlain offer at a lower price without compromising quality (in this scent, they do). Would I buy it? I don’t need it and I already own one of the previous ones (YSL) that I prefer. Would I use it? Not really. I’d only recommend it if you find it at a good price or in small millilitres if you don’t own anything of this style. Nothing more.
