The declared notes do not correspond to the EDT version, as the tester EDT versions declare the notes that on Fragrantica match the EDP. It’s the same aroma, just lighter and less dense, although its longevity on my skin is 8 hours. I prefer this version as I feel it’s less heavy than the EDP. Super sexy perfume.
‘Crystal Noir’ EDT is a clean perfume, slightly talcum and woody. It opens slightly spicy and acidic, but soon the flowers appear well balanced with the sandalwood and musk. It feels very creamy and a bit fruity, as if it carried coconut or fig, although I don’t know if it does. It’s fresh, clean, versatile and light. Many people find it sexy, especially men; I can understand that, but for me it’s not. Clean perfumes for me are pleasant, neat and relaxing. ‘Crystal Noir’ evokes my night routine: freshly washed woman’s skin, steam from the bath with that gel and shampoo while I put on my body cream. The case and my misfortune is that on my skin it doesn’t feel balanced or pleasant; the floral part and a very loud musk that smells like detergent stand out (it improved after a couple of hours and I enjoyed it). On my friend, nothing particular stands out and it’s spectacular, even having a mysterious and different touch. Medium trail and excellent longevity for an EDT. On clothes it lasts days; when I tried it, it fell on my shirt and a week later it’s still there, seems freshly taken out of the wash, smells great. Definitely better on clothes than on my skin. I’ve seen it compared to Gris Charnel and I can’t find any similarity; they are very different sandalwoods, perhaps it’s the EDP.
My first expensive perfume <3 I'm in love with Crystal Noir! A while ago I wanted a good fragrance from a perfumery, but as it's not easy to buy them in Argentina due to the cost, I took my time to choose. I tried many guided by reviews and came across Crystal Noir. I loved it from the start, although I didn't know there were two versions: EDP and EDT. Later I tried both and without a doubt the EDT was the winner (I feel the EDP is too much for an adult woman, not my taste). As soon as I put it on, I feel it a bit strong (reasonably so, as it's predicted in its opening notes), but after 20 minutes it's all love. I wouldn't know how to describe the notes, as I'm a beginner and can't distinguish them, but if I had to say, it smells FINE, like a fancy woman. I feel like I can conquer the world wearing it. After a few hours, it leaves a clean smell that drives me crazy; it's perfect. The longevity for an EDT is wonderful: wrists for about 6 hours, neck for a day, what madness 😍. The trail is super strong (I'm in love with that). I noticed for the first time the difference between 'normal' perfumes and a good European perfume, super delighted, my new favourite without a doubt. The next one will be Pure Poison <3.
I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this perfume yet; maybe it was the first or second I bought when starting this addiction. I tried it in winter and thought it was divine: something clean, soapy, woody and coconutty that blended with my skin. When it arrived, I saw the notes on the box didn’t match that coconut: they had reformulated, changing coconut, gardenia and sandalwood for figs, tuberose and cashmeran. The final result stayed on the same line. I know there was a second reformulation (which I haven’t tried), so my review is for the 2017 perfume. I imagine the new formula will be similar, as the notes resemble the EdP I did try, which was similar to the EdT I have. The opening is a bit loud, smelling like mosquito repellent, but after 10 minutes it adopts a white patent leather texture: it projects cold and lustre, but I feel comfortable and cocooned. The smell is very lactonic, slightly plastic, with a touch of bubble bath. Over time, the cashmeran becomes dominant. Its trail and longevity are galactic; they stay on the skin until you shower. I consider it feminine and very sexy, without being explicit. It works better in temperate, cold climates or summer nights. It adds sophistication without being out of place at work or informally. As it’s not very used (I haven’t heard anyone else wearing it) and there’s nothing similar, it’s perfect to be a signature scent and stand out. Despite using it less than before, it’s one of my most applauded; I use it to feel comfortable but secure. Pleasant: 8/10, Interesting: 7/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 8/10.
It was a blind buy. I was attracted to the dark and mysterious vibe of the bottle and the comments. I’m in love; it’s already my signature scent. It lasts quite a while (unusual for me), it’s exquisite, sexy, mysterious and spicy. It drives me crazy!
The Crystal Noir EDT has just arrived and I absolutely love it. I’d been searching for something different from sweet gourmands and found it. The bottle attracted me, but the scent more so. I tried it a few years ago but didn’t buy it, and now I have it on offer. On my skin, the cardamom, ginger, pepper and sandalwood stand out; there’s no coconut or fig. It’s spiced but soft, a total hit for me who usually doesn’t wear spices. It’s not feminine; it smells unisex, a man would wear it without any issues. When it dries down, it reminds me of Lacoste’s Touch of Pink (they share cardamom and sandalwood). I got the reformulation: a gradient box and a narrower bottle. It’s perfect for winter now, perhaps only for cool nights in summer. The EDP seems the same but more intense. If you want something different and not overused, give it a try.
I loved it! (even though I’m into sweet/fruity perfumes). At first, I identified the pepper and ginger. After 10-20 minutes, I noticed the flowers and a citrus (maybe orange blossom?). In the end, a soft, mysterious smell with a spicy touch from the pepper. I can’t find any comparisons, which I like because it doesn’t smell generic. Everyone should use it when they want, but I don’t think it’s for summer (perhaps on a cool night). I would use it in: Winter/Autumn (cool afternoon/rainy day or night for any event; if casual, very little); Spring (night for any event; if casual, very little). Many reviews convinced me, especially the one by YouTuber ‘Curly Scents’.
I’m leaving the review here that I mistakenly posted on the EDP one. I couldn’t try it in any perfumery and bought it blindly based on the reviews. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a hit; I don’t share most of the opinions. It’s a perfume that requires training your nose. At first, I don’t like it and I don’t think my opinion will change much. It’s not a pleasant smell nor typically feminine; it leans heavily towards the masculine side. It’s the same whiff you get when walking into an Oysho store with their signature scent. Both fragrances smell clean, but it’s not the smell of cotton clothes in the sun with softener; it’s the smell of a man who just got out of the shower and sprayed AXE deodorant from head to toe, mixing with the lactonic smell of the shower gel. It literally smells like men’s shaving foam with added coconut milk, right through all its phases. It doesn’t evolve on my skin. It has character, nothing delicate, and surely when a woman wears it, she’ll get more compliments from other women than from men.
I absolutely love it! Love at first sniff. I was looking for something clean and soapy for the heat, and this wonder arrived. Creamy gardenia, slightly spiced and sweet, like a refined body cream. At first, you notice lots of orange blossom and spice, but then it settles into those soft flowers. The notes on the website match (where is the coconut or fig that are usually mentioned?). It has good longevity, a medium trail, but I reapply if I want to feel in that refined cloud. I’ll be getting the EDP soon; they say they’ve discontinued it. If you like clean scents, this is a full recommendation.
Versatile, timeless and exquisite. Smells distinct and perfect for any day of the year. A safe bet.
One of the three pieces of my Crystal trilogy. I bought minis and this EDT, along with Bright Crystal Absolu and Yellow Diamond, and I fell in love. It’s a creamy, subtly spicy, enveloping scent. One of the few that lasts and projects decently, and which have complimented me after leaving a trail (applying on clothes too, as I’m of the pH that annihilates everything). It’s ‘sweet’ without being sweet, creamy and somewhat dense, but with a clean touch that gives it a shine. For me, it’s a ‘cold-darkness’ scent; I love it but it doesn’t suit heat. It captivates, but I think it’s more complex than its Absolu and Yellow siblings, so I’d recommend trying before buying. I’m going for my second bottle ❤️
It’s a different and mysterious perfume, totally unisex for me. What stands out most is the sandalwood; it’s woody and spicy (I’d say cold spice, not warm). I smell the cardamom and pepper a lot, not so much the floral part. It’s very clean; my olfactory memory makes me feel it as ‘shaving foam’, and that’s the exact description: men’s shaving foam with something creamy/milky. It has moderate trail and lasts 6/7 hours on my skin, good performance being an Eau de Toilette, highly recommended in that sense! I think it’s best not to buy it blind, unless you like unisex and spicy scents; certainly, it’s not for me. Edit one year later: I added it to my collection… I agree with my description, and while it’s not my style, it has something very attractive that decided me to buy it… It adds variety and from the first use, it generated compliments… I like it a lot, and the only thing I criticise is that I struggle to find a use for it, but I recommend trying it.
I don’t understand the hype; they gave it to me as a miniature and it smells like an old lady in a nursing home. I don’t know which note reminds me of that, perhaps the sandalwood. For me, sandalwood smells like a nursing home. I’d love to like it but I can’t 🙁
On my skin, it smells like curry 🙁
I hunted for this for three key reasons: 1. Ori Russo’s review, which with the tester and notes on the bottle confirms it has coconut 🥥 (yes! Coconut! And I love this note in perfumes…) 2. The Smarties Review comparison discussing the milky touch (and see, I don’t expect anything gourmand, certainly not, I hope it’s not the case)… and yes, she also confirms there’s some coconut 🥥 or fig (and watch out 👁, black fig is indeed declared in the EDP I love with all my heart). And well… 3. For the alarming reason that this gem 💎 is already discontinued and will no longer be produced… both Soki London and other experts said this recently (less than 6 months since this became known…) and well, what can I say? I should have got one. And here’s the thing, guys, I ordered it straight away, for around 900 Mexican pesos; it was the last one left. You’ll see that even on websites where it was sold, this gem that once seemed inexhaustible now has minimal stock… I don’t know the fragrance, I repeat; I just ordered it… but I only say that I hope fans of the line who knew the EDP and love the EDT get their back-ups… Once I have it, I’ll tell you my opinion on this EDT baby. 🖤
I bought both versions, the EDT and the EDP (blind buy); the bottles are identical and divine. I preferred the EDT; it’s softer, like a coconut drink with cardamom and ginger. The EDP doesn’t feel like coconut; it’s stronger. Both remind me a lot of Santal 33.
A gem that unites a non-existent coconut note, sandalwood, and spices in a cold way. Although it could be for daily wear, it lacks innocence, has character and complexity, but if you connect with it, you’ll adore it. As for performance, it’s excellent.
This EDT version is brutally talc-heavy, with a floral touch, very elegant and sophisticated, and incredibly long-lasting. The sandalwood and gardenia are very noticeable. The trail and longevity are potent. It envelops you all day; I wore it in the morning and it’s still there at night, what a fantasy. It’s not for the timid, but for confident women. I see it for various occasions: as a Bosswoman, for the day, or for beach nights🐚
I don’t know what’s in this perfume that I can’t stop smelling, it’s addictive. I’m not a big fan of spicy notes, but I love this. I find it totally unisex and perfect for cold weather. I’m dying to try the Eau de Parfum. What stands out most is the sandalwood mixed with spices; I don’t perceive much of the flowers they claim it has.
I absolutely love it. Projects and lasts like an Eau de Parfum. It compliments me so much. Smells of coconut, yet isn’t sweet or gourmand. I wear it during the day with a few sprays and more at night. Suitable for work, casual outings, or parties. It’s exquisite.
I bought the EDT following TikTok reviews that said it was less spicy than the EDP and I have to say it is simply addictive. I have been using the Alien by Mugler for 8 years and I believe this will take a place near it. Do not let yourselves be deceived by the smell when spraying it on paper because it smells very different on skin. On paper the spices persist, but on skin it transforms into a beautiful scent of coconut and white flowers (although coconut is not declared in the EDT, it is felt); it is a surprising turnaround. Without a doubt, a very special perfume.
Exquisite, good longevity on skin and clothes. It smells clean, but not an innocent clean, rather a mature one. I only have the EDT but I have tested the EDP and I stick with this one, lighter and fresher.
What stands out most are the sandalwood and gardenia with spicy touches. It has a unisex air, it is outside of what I usually wear but I have liked it. I find it very elegant and clean. Its trail and longevity are excellent with few sprays; it lasts days on clothes.
I LOVE IT. It is a perfume with a totally unique smell, not felt on everyone. It smells of a confident and seductive woman who balances her feminine and beautiful side with a ‘masculinity’ of decision, security and a firm step. It is my signature scent; I love it, it has a rich smell that invites you to keep smelling it to delight and decipher it. On my skin, the pepper, gardenia and cardamom predominate. As the hours pass, they remain predominant but the sandalwood and amber make their way in, a spectacle in all its facets. One single spray is enough to feel everything; with two it becomes very heavy. It lasts many hours; even weeks ago I sprayed some into my bag and it still smells good. You do not go unnoticed; you need strong personality to wear it.
I finally bought it due to all the hype surrounding this scent. I smelled and tested it and it did not quite convince me, until I jumped in with an offer. Fortunately, I got the 30 ml version, so the loss was not much. The opening is powerful, spicy and rare; the coconut is noticeable and soon blends with the sandalwood to create a creamy, wearable and very pleasant perfume. A very different scent, creamy without being sweet.
I bought it on Notino a week ago and feel ripped off. It smells of pure alcohol, nothing like what I had tested before. Moral of the story: do not buy it there. I clarify that the perfume itself is very good… but I do not know if they have reformulated it or added alcohol to cut costs.
I went to a perfumerie and tested it. My boyfriend gave it a 7.4, a good note for him, saying it had a citrus touch. I also notice something citrusy, but to me it mainly smells of handled coins. The truth is, I do not like it at all. How curious, the diversity of opinions!
I am correcting the data and reposting. It smells of dark, elegant and discreet feminine energy. I see it as ideal for a femme fatale in her daily life. I wear it at the office to feel secure and empowered. It lasts a very long time; in my case, more than 12 hours.
Mesmerising elegance. There are perfumes that pass without a trace and others that are etched into the skin. This, the Versace Crystal Noir, has been an absolute favourite since its launch: a liquid spell, almost witchy. It is not a common scent. It begins with spices (pepper, cardamom, ginger) that hit with subtlety and awaken the senses. Then, the gardenia, orange blossom and peony soften those spices with a white floral heart, neither innocent nor sweet. Finally, the sandalwood, musk and amber make it deep, enveloping and addictive. It is super versatile: works well day or night, in winter or summer, with a dress or a leather jacket. It adapts but never becomes invisible. Everyone always compliments it and notices it. It leaves a mark. It is not just a perfume; it is a signature, a seal. The Crystal Noir is not worn; it is embodied. Once it is yours, it is hard to let go.
The definitive one. I haven’t found anything in my collection that surpasses it. If I run out, I replace it immediately. It is sensuality, femininity and elegance, with a dark touch. I adore it.
It is love, it is love. Nothing has ever resembled it; it is a mysterious and distant woman at times, do not bother her. It lasts quite a while for an EDT. I will buy it again when I run out.
I tried the EDP and liked it once dry, but it was very spicy. Now, this EDT seemed very masculine at first, I feared it would stay that way, but it changes and ends up unisex leaning towards elegant feminine. It is more wearable than the EDP. It lasts a long time, has a gothic vibe, like the perfume of a witch in winter or autumn. I love it; I expected more coconut but no, apparently only the EDP carries it. It is attractive; you will not smell like anyone else. EDIT: Although I did not declare it in the EDT, it seems it does carry coconut, as if camouflaged behind the notes; I like it more than before. For those who do not like it, wait for the dry-down. Addictive, as said below, it smells like a tropical coconut drink; it has a strange balance between summer and winter… I love it.
It smells like shower and soap, that freshly bathed scent that is so cleansing. I have not liked it at all.
It is a unique perfume, a symbol of femininity and sensuality. Whoever wears it must have steel-like confidence in who they are, what they have achieved, and how they look; it has great personality. It is a white floral, creamy, sexy without screaming it, but inviting discovery little by little.
It is a jewel, niche-level, nothing common about the scent, so it is not a blind buy. I met it years ago with a decant and went crazy. I will keep buying it year after year.
A perfumer gave me one of these to try yesterday, but I don’t recall which of the three it was. What I do know is that it has a super spicy opening, then something creamy and clean, and the dry-down reminds me a lot of the classic Carolina Herrera 212. Could it be the gardenia? Am I the only one who reminds them of that perfume? Excellent longevity; I liked it.
I love it; it was a blind buy. I was wary of the spicy notes, but they give it a unique touch. It works brilliantly when layered with the VS Coconut Passion to boost that undeclared coconut note, although I also mix it with an Esika body mist from the Taste line, the Cream, which is coconut with ginger. Note: you must apply several sprays because, being an EDT, it is not as potent.
I adore Crystal Noir; every now and then I put it aside, try others, and come back. I switched to the Eau de Parfum for its greater strength, but the scent remains. Do not mistake the new ‘Parfum’: I thought it was more intense than the ‘Eau de Parfum’, but it changes the smell entirely; I detail this in my review of the ‘Parfum’.
Absolutely delicious! It smells incredibly similar to my 212 (the perfume of a lifetime that I adore), but it is more sophisticated, elegant, and less mass-produced. They share notes such as gardenia, peony, orange blossom, sandalwood, and musk. Of course, it evolves over time, but I broadly perceive the 212. The longevity on my skin is spectacular; I am in love.
Not a love at first sight, but it has hooked me. It opens spicy and immediately smells like ultra-creamy soap, akin to a rich body lotion. It’s a white floral with a coconut or fig sensation (I got the declared notes slightly mixed up, but those lactones are noticeable). It projects and lasts like a demon; incredible that it’s an EDT. It’s all-rounder, suitable for any season, and frankly, it dresses like a fragrance.
