Crystal Noir Eau de Toilette by Versace

Absolutely delicious! It smells incredibly similar to my 212 (the perfume of a lifetime that I adore), but it is more sophisticated, elegant, and less mass-produced. They share notes such as gardenia, peony, orange blossom, sandalwood, and musk. Of course, it evolves over time, but I broadly perceive the 212. The longevity on my skin is spectacular; I am in love.

I love it; it was a blind buy. I was wary of the spicy notes, but they give it a unique touch. It works brilliantly when layered with the VS Coconut Passion to boost that undeclared coconut note, although I also mix it with an Esika body mist from the Taste line, the Cream, which is coconut with ginger. Note: you must apply several sprays because, being an EDT, it is not as potent.

It is a jewel, niche-level, nothing common about the scent, so it is not a blind buy. I met it years ago with a decant and went crazy. I will keep buying it year after year.

It smells like shower and soap, that freshly bathed scent that is so cleansing. I have not liked it at all.

It is love, it is love. Nothing has ever resembled it; it is a mysterious and distant woman at times, do not bother her. It lasts quite a while for an EDT. I will buy it again when I run out.

Mesmerising elegance. There are perfumes that pass without a trace and others that are etched into the skin. This, the Versace Crystal Noir, has been an absolute favourite since its launch: a liquid spell, almost witchy. It is not a common scent. It begins with spices (pepper, cardamom, ginger) that hit with subtlety and awaken the senses. Then, the gardenia, orange blossom and peony soften those spices with a white floral heart, neither innocent nor sweet. Finally, the sandalwood, musk and amber make it deep, enveloping and addictive. It is super versatile: works well day or night, in winter or summer, with a dress or a leather jacket. It adapts but never becomes invisible. Everyone always compliments it and notices it. It leaves a mark. It is not just a perfume; it is a signature, a seal. The Crystal Noir is not worn; it is embodied. Once it is yours, it is hard to let go.

I went to a perfumerie and tested it. My boyfriend gave it a 7.4, a good note for him, saying it had a citrus touch. I also notice something citrusy, but to me it mainly smells of handled coins. The truth is, I do not like it at all. How curious, the diversity of opinions!

I finally bought it due to all the hype surrounding this scent. I smelled and tested it and it did not quite convince me, until I jumped in with an offer. Fortunately, I got the 30 ml version, so the loss was not much. The opening is powerful, spicy and rare; the coconut is noticeable and soon blends with the sandalwood to create a creamy, wearable and very pleasant perfume. A very different scent, creamy without being sweet.

What stands out most are the sandalwood and gardenia with spicy touches. It has a unisex air, it is outside of what I usually wear but I have liked it. I find it very elegant and clean. Its trail and longevity are excellent with few sprays; it lasts days on clothes.

I bought the EDT following TikTok reviews that said it was less spicy than the EDP and I have to say it is simply addictive. I have been using the Alien by Mugler for 8 years and I believe this will take a place near it. Do not let yourselves be deceived by the smell when spraying it on paper because it smells very different on skin. On paper the spices persist, but on skin it transforms into a beautiful scent of coconut and white flowers (although coconut is not declared in the EDT, it is felt); it is a surprising turnaround. Without a doubt, a very special perfume.

I don’t know what’s in this perfume that I can’t stop smelling, it’s addictive. I’m not a big fan of spicy notes, but I love this. I find it totally unisex and perfect for cold weather. I’m dying to try the Eau de Parfum. What stands out most is the sandalwood mixed with spices; I don’t perceive much of the flowers they claim it has.

A gem that unites a non-existent coconut note, sandalwood, and spices in a cold way. Although it could be for daily wear, it lacks innocence, has character and complexity, but if you connect with it, you’ll adore it. As for performance, it’s excellent.

I hunted for this for three key reasons: 1. Ori Russo’s review, which with the tester and notes on the bottle confirms it has coconut 🥥 (yes! Coconut! And I love this note in perfumes…) 2. The Smarties Review comparison discussing the milky touch (and see, I don’t expect anything gourmand, certainly not, I hope it’s not the case)… and yes, she also confirms there’s some coconut 🥥 or fig (and watch out 👁, black fig is indeed declared in the EDP I love with all my heart). And well… 3. For the alarming reason that this gem 💎 is already discontinued and will no longer be produced… both Soki London and other experts said this recently (less than 6 months since this became known…) and well, what can I say? I should have got one. And here’s the thing, guys, I ordered it straight away, for around 900 Mexican pesos; it was the last one left. You’ll see that even on websites where it was sold, this gem that once seemed inexhaustible now has minimal stock… I don’t know the fragrance, I repeat; I just ordered it… but I only say that I hope fans of the line who knew the EDP and love the EDT get their back-ups… Once I have it, I’ll tell you my opinion on this EDT baby. 🖤

I don’t understand the hype; they gave it to me as a miniature and it smells like an old lady in a nursing home. I don’t know which note reminds me of that, perhaps the sandalwood. For me, sandalwood smells like a nursing home. I’d love to like it but I can’t 🙁

One of the three pieces of my Crystal trilogy. I bought minis and this EDT, along with Bright Crystal Absolu and Yellow Diamond, and I fell in love. It’s a creamy, subtly spicy, enveloping scent. One of the few that lasts and projects decently, and which have complimented me after leaving a trail (applying on clothes too, as I’m of the pH that annihilates everything). It’s ‘sweet’ without being sweet, creamy and somewhat dense, but with a clean touch that gives it a shine. For me, it’s a ‘cold-darkness’ scent; I love it but it doesn’t suit heat. It captivates, but I think it’s more complex than its Absolu and Yellow siblings, so I’d recommend trying before buying. I’m going for my second bottle ❤️
