Dolce Vita Parfum by Dior is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 1994, this composition was created by Pierre Bourdon and Maurice Roger. The top notes unfold a vibrant accord of peach, cardamom, lily of the valley, bergamot, rose, and grapefruit. The heart of the fragrance reveals the elegance of jasmine, the warmth of cinnamon, the woodiness of rosewood, the sweetness of heliotrope, and the florality of lily of the valley and magnolia. Finally, the base notes settle into a warm and enveloping foundation of vanilla, coconut, sandalwood, and cedar.

This scent, a recent discovery in Argentina, is the one I’ve always dreamed of wearing as an adult. My mother never wore it well, so I never got to try it; she was as much of a perfume enthusiast as I am today, but Dior simply didn’t suit her skin. I tested it in perfumeries and airports, of course, but it didn’t fit my age at the time. I hoped to grow into it and wear it one day. What I remember is that sense of opulence, presence, and femininity that Dior crafted with such elegance, particularly in the 90s. Is this review nostalgic? Absolutely.
