Ideal for gourmand fans and it goes straight into my top 3 of Teo Cabanel scents. It begins with a powdery iris mixed with fruity notes and carrot seeds. Then it evolves into a super-creamy and milky iris, supported by sandalwood and subtle spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or cloves, plus a citrus touch like orange or lemon peel from a pastry. And the surprise! At the end, it smells a lot like the best carrot cake you’ve ever tried, but refined. A delicious and 100% original scent; I’ve never smelled anything like it. Projection is moderate for the first 2-3 hours, then it becomes more intimate, lasting about 8 hours on skin. It’s not the best performer in the house nor the worst; I think it’s acceptable, but if you’re looking for beast mode, you won’t find it here. For gourmand lovers, I see it as totally unisex and very versatile for any occasion or season. In summary: I loved it and already have a bottle on its way.
Perfect for gourmand lovers and it firmly places itself in my top 3 of Teo Cabanel perfumes. At first, you note a talc-dusted iris with fruity touches and carrot seeds. As time passes, that iris becomes extremely creamy and milky, with a base of sandalwood and refined, subtle spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or cloves, plus a citrus that recalls orange or lemon peel from a pastry. And surprise! The final result does indeed remind you a lot of the best carrot cake you’ve ever tried, but in an elegant way. A delicious and 100% original scent; I’ve never smelled anything like it. Projection is moderate for the first 2-3 hours before settling into a more intimate presence, with a skin longevity of about 8 hours. In this regard, it’s not the best performer in the house but nor the worst; in my opinion, it’s more than acceptable, although if you’re looking for something beast mode, you won’t find it here. If you like gourmand perfumes, I see it as totally unisex and quite versatile for any occasion or season. In summary: I liked it immensely and I have a bottle on its way.
It’s a clone of the Iris by L’Erbolario: a massive hit of iris in enormous quantities! I’ve tried the 14 samples from the Teo Cabanel Discovery set and what a disaster; none of them pleased me even half. After all, a perfume has to be liked from minute one, especially at these prices. It’s no use if I like it in the dry-down if it doesn’t work at first; what am I supposed to do, lock myself in a room until the base notes arrive? I’m not surprised they gift a €30 discount with the set if it’s not like this; otherwise, it’s impossible. Still, I’d have to choose which of the 14 samples I dislike the least, quite a challenge!

It’s very cute, honestly. At first, it’s pure sandalwood-peach, reminding me of some compositions with osmanthus that smell like potpourri with pale, rough woods. As it develops, the hint of carrot begins to emerge, though on my skin it seems too subtle; I’m not sure if it would be more noticeable on others. There are also some lactonic-caramelised nuances that manage to evoke the icing quite well. Overall, it’s a fairly acidic perfume, with peach acidity, but with a soothing base underneath.
I understand the comparison with Pantea and Sorce, but to my nose, they are worlds apart. At first and even after several wears, this smells like those violet cycles from Canels sold in Mexico. If you don’t know the patisserie or aren’t a fan of carrot cake, of course, it will remind you exactly of that. Here, everything is balanced with creamy nut notes, some super-subtle spices, and a combination that, in summary, makes you remember that cake. Time has improved it immensely, but if you are the type to judge by the first spray and toss it, well… you’ll probably be left thinking it’s just an iris scent.
