This fragrance is a must-have in your collection if you’re seeking gourmand, mouth-watering, and rich scents, featuring standout coffee notes and intense sweetness. What I adore most are the coffee, caramel, milk, butter, cinnamon, and vanilla. The floral aspect, with heliotrope at the head but lingering in the base, reminds me of a winter stroll through a city centre and stepping into a typical European café, where the air is filled with coffee, sweet bread, cakes, and exclusive pastry creations. Upon application, it feels like a rich, warm, and necessary winter embrace for very cold days. It’s highly long-lasting and projects well; I wouldn’t say it’s too heavy, but rather immense, depending on how your pH amplifies it. In my case, it comes out strong and evolves divinely, lingering on the skin as if I were a rich, walking dessert. It smells of caramel syrup, vanilla, and coffee. I find it fabulous and definitely worth trying. The quality-to-price ratio is excellent. It’s an addictive fragrance you’ll always catch a glimpse of, even with the corner of your eye, wanting to wear it. The bottle is a dream for any coquettish woman who enjoys displaying beautiful perfumes in her dressing table.
From the very first moment, I knew I had smelled it before. Although I appreciate the coffee more in the opening, once it dries on my skin it disappears and is very similar to L by Lolita Lempicka. It’s a pleasant fragrance, but after using it a couple of times and seeing how it behaves, I wouldn’t pay what it costs. Soft-moderate trail and longevity of about 4 hours. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Trail 6/10, Value for money 4/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 10/10. Would I buy it again? No, I didn’t.
The moment I applied it, I knew I’d smelled it before. At first, it smells of coffee, but dry down it’s almost identical to the L by Lolita Lempicka. It’s a pleasant fragrance, but after wearing it a couple of times and seeing how it performs on my skin, I wouldn’t pay the price. Soft-to-moderate sillage and lasts around four hours. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 6/10, Value for money 4/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 10/10. Would I buy it again? No, I didn’t.
I love strong black coffee in a cup, but not to use as a perfume. It smells good and is balanced, light and sweet, but it’s not my style. Still, it’s a good perfume.
I only like coffee in a cup, loaded, to drink it, not to apply it. Although I must say it’s a good fragrance, well-balanced, light, and sweet. But it’s not my style. Although I repeat, it’s a good perfume.
The butter and milk note initially stopped me in my tracks, but the sample won me over instantly. On my skin, velvety heliotrope takes the lead, almost edible, paired with supreme-quality sandalwood. It is sumptuous, creamy, with an addictive, vanilla-sweetness boosted by tonka bean and caramel, all wrapped in coffee and a hint of spicy cinnamon. It’s a perfectly balanced café gourmand, nothing excessive. Unisex with a slight feminine lean, perfect for my humid city. It offers comfort and well-being, ideal for autumn and winter. The trail is wide with over eight hours of longevity. Fortunately, I don’t detect any lactonic notes. The bottle is exquisite and unique, adding extra value; excellent quality-price ratio. P.S. I don’t find it similar to Feve Delicieuse, at least on my skin.
The butter and milk notes stopped me from buying it blindly. I received a sample, and as soon as I applied it to my skin, I was conquered. Velvet heliotrope predominates; I almost feel it on my palate. I distinguish high-quality butter and sandalwood, sumptuous, creamy, with an addictive vanilla sweetness enhanced by tonka bean and caramel, all wrapped in coffee and a hint of spicy cinnamon. It’s a gourmand coffee but balanced, not excessive. Slightly feminine unisex, perfect for the humid climate of my city. Undoubtedly, it’s a scent that brings comfort and well-being; I’ll be looking for more of it in autumn and winter. Wide trail and longevity over 8 hours. Fortunately, I don’t perceive any lactonic notes. The bottle is beautiful and unique, adding a plus to the perfume; excellent value for money. P.S. I don’t find it similar to Feve Delicieuse, at least not on my skin.
A gem. On my skin, it initially smells like coffee with amaretto and milk, lasting about ten minutes, but it changes into a delicious vanilla scent. Unfortunately, as they say, the projection isn’t good, around half an hour, but I can smell it on my skin for about 4 hours. In summary: I loved the scent, but the performance leaves much to be desired.
A real gem: on my skin, it starts as a blend of coffee, amaretto and milk. This initial note lasts about ten minutes before transforming into a delicious vanilla scent. Unfortunately, as they say, the projection is non-existent, lasting only around half an hour, although I can still detect it on my skin for about four hours. In short, I adored the scent, but the performance leaves much to be desired.
I ordered this perfume blind in 30ml due to the good YouTube reviews. They send samples, so I tried the Café Cabanel one and it’s another world: it doesn’t smell like milk coffee or a winter hug, nor do I detect the cinnamon or tangerine; the liquor covers everything. Once it settles, after 15-30 minutes, it becomes softer and more vanilla-scented, but on my skin it still retains that liquor touch. It feels too strong for me.
I placed a blind order for 30ml based on positive YouTube reviews. When you buy, they send samples, including the perfume, in case you want to swap. That was my case: I tried the sample of Café Cabanel and it had nothing to do with what I imagined. I didn’t perceive milk coffee, nor the scent that embraces you on cold days. I didn’t even notice the cinnamon and mandarin in the opening; the liquor scent covered everything. Once it settles, after 15-30 minutes, it becomes softer and more vanilla-like, but on my skin it doesn’t lose the liquor touch. Too strong for my taste.
Café Cabanel isn’t everything I expected… it’s better. It’s a creamy, dense milk coffee dusted with cinnamon. In the heart, it has a floral character that blends with buttery gourmand notes, making it softer and lighter. The dry down is toasted, with hints of caramel and balsamic, dominated by a beautiful tonka bean note. Curiously, I perceive citrus/spice notes in the dry down more than in the opening (where the orange and cinnamon are). Don’t think it’s a sugary scent; it has body and density but isn’t overly sweet. I love it. High projection and wide trail for the first 2 hours, then it gradually fades, lasting over 10 hours, with the last notes up close. Phenomenal. Although it’s listed as feminine, I see it as totally unisex. Ideal for cold autumn/winter days. Perfect for casual, night, or intimate outings due to its cosy character. One of the best gourmands I’ve tried. I need it in my collection!
It reminds me of the style of Chan Chan by Botanicae, which doesn’t contain coffee; here there’s a tiny bit, which I don’t even notice. For me, it has undeclared petit grain. For those who like to smell like creamy coffee, I recommend Flower Café by Botanicae; it’s wonderful. This one from Cabanel has a strong opening of liquor, as if it were a café con leche. To keep it brief, I won’t delve into the notes because it lacks the main one: coffee. I’d say it smells like a niche aftershave.
I know several people who were disappointed because they expected a natural or ground coffee scent, something the name and YouTube reviews suggested. Nothing could be further from the truth on my skin. Although I’m not a huge gourmand fan, this is a delight: a creamy blend of milk, vanilla, tonka bean, and cinnamon. Natural coffee is noticeable in the base, but it’s not the star. It’s smoky, spicy, super creamy, velvety, and addictive. A warm treat you can’t stop sniffing. After a few hours, the sandalwood blooms, very perceptible and one of my favourite notes. I love it; it’s a wonder. If you’re looking for lots of coffee, try Coffee Addict by Theodoros Kalotinis; it smells like classic coffee sweets. The trail is wide at first, moderate after 2-3 hours, and lasts 7-8 hours. It’s not a bomb, which I appreciate. I recommend it highly: Scent 9/10, Trail 7/10, Longevity 7/10.
I know several people disappointed with Café Cabanel because they expected a ground or natural coffee scent, something the name and many YouTube reviews suggest. Nowhere near the truth on my skin. For me, who isn’t a die-hard gourmand fan, it is a delight and one of the best. It is a creamy blend of milk, vanilla, tonka bean, and cinnamon. Natural coffee is noticeable in the dry down but isn’t the protagonist. It’s a smoky, spicy, super-creamy, velvety, and addictive fragrance. A warm delight you can’t stop smelling. After a few hours, the sandalwood blooms, very perceptible on my skin and one of my favourite notes. I love it; it’s a wonder. If you’re looking for strong coffee, I recommend Coffee Addict by Theodoros Kalotinis; it smells like those classic coffee sweets. The trail is wide initially, then becomes moderate after 2-3 hours, lasting around 7-8 hours. It’s not a bomb, which I appreciate in such a scent. I highly recommend it. Scent: 9/10, Trail: 7/10, Longevity: 7/10.
It smells like a cake soaked in milk coffee, subtly aromatised with orange peel and cinnamon. It’s sweet but not cloying; it brings back memories of breakfasts at my parents’ house. There’s a dusty quality to it, like those coffee grounds left at the bottom of the cup with Nescafé that you scrape up with the spoon. Towards the end, it reminds me a bit of the patchouli in Reminiscence, its deformed sibling that feeds on fish heads in the cellar. While the patchouli is ambiguously edible, Café Cabanel is unambiguously so.
Every skin is different, but to be honest, I don’t understand the hype surrounding the projection and longevity of this fragrance. Like with the rest of the Teo Cabanel collection, the concept is good but the execution falls short. Café Cabanel is no exception: it starts with a lovely, relaxed coffee opening, but within minutes it fades, leaving flat, undefined, and weak middle and base notes that are only noticeable up close. It has disappointed me, and I won’t be buying from this house again.
