At first, it’s a beast, like Monegal’s fruity offerings. Intense red berries with an almost artificial sweetness, reminiscent of the strawberry syrup on VIPS pancakes. It’s sharp, but in a good way; I appreciate the power in a sea of perfumes that fade from the skin. The heart feels a little weak, but it deserves more time. For the first hour, I’m a complete strawberry bomb.
The most feminine scent in the entire IBIZA collection, and perhaps the most impressive I’ve tried from Monegal. It opens with an energising, sparkling fruity burst, rich in red berries, but as it dries down it becomes far more intriguing: the namesake flowers barely linger, giving way to a potent patchouli with a resinous twist. It’s a curious fragrance, though it doesn’t quite convince me.
