Descripción
Havana Reserva by Aramis is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 1996, this composition was created by perfumer Edouard Flechier. Its olfactive structure unfolds with citrus, tangerine orange, and coriander in the top notes; spices, cedar, vanilla, and jasmine in the heart; and tobacco, leather, sandalwood, and woody notes in the base.

The bottle looks beautiful and the presentation is too, but compared to the ‘mother’ Aramis Havana from 1994, this version feels overdone. It smells much more intrusive and strong, so I wouldn’t recommend it for the tropics; I still prefer the 1994 version.
This lotion belonged to my father years ago; I’m not certain if it was called exactly ‘Reserva’ as it sometimes appears and sometimes doesn’t online, but this is the bottle. He used it occasionally and I ended up loving it immensely. They have very interesting aromas and are extremely long-lasting.
My father passed this on to me years ago; I’m not entirely sure if it was called exactly ‘Reserva’ as it sometimes appears and sometimes doesn’t on the internet, but this is the real bottle. He used it occasionally and I absolutely loved it. Very interesting aromas with great longevity.
The undisputed king of party perfumes.
Scent: god-tier level, projection: very good, longevity: excellent, quality: excellent. Blind buy: yes, yes, yes. 10/10, the best fragrance of all time. Now in a new presentation and formula, it seems identical to the original, but my memory says it’s not exactly the same.

Having seen photos and read about the relaunch, I’m hoping to cross paths with it soon; it’s one of my favourite 90s scents. My father was given this back then, but it gave him an allergy, so he passed it on to me; I absolutely loved it (I still keep the bottle with some residue left, just as I do with my favourites, to remember it from time to time). It was fresh, but not in that spicy-mentholated aftershave way; it had a humid jungle freshness. The citrus notes were wonderful, balanced with jasmine and vanilla, and the dry-down was also fresh; the sandalwood and cedar seemed like leaves or branches freshly plucked from the tree. As for the tobacco, I confirmed this firsthand: it’s not processed tobacco, but the fresh plant just cut, which retains something of that other tobacco but with a predominance of the ‘green’ aspect that I haven’t found in any other fragrance. Totally masculine, with enormous longevity and sillage, typical of that era. It disappeared from perfumeries so quickly that it was impossible to get it back. Except for the classic Aramis men’s scents, the rest of the brand’s offerings are quite hard to find in Argentina. I’ll keep my radar on alert for this relaunch.
