I always wore it in summer as it transformed into the EDT after a few hours, though now I have the eBay bottle since it’s no longer produced.
I always used it in summer because after a few hours it turned into the EDT, but now that it’s no longer manufactured, I have to make do with the one I bought on eBay.
This cologne is the hummingbird of the Poison classic line: hard to find, and just when you think you’ve got it, it vanishes in an instant. Throughout my years of collecting, I’ve seen it at most twice, surely only when the planets align. The bottle is pure poetry with the same classic shape, but the colour changes: that intense, almost black purple shifts towards a more translucent, deep red garnet. Unlike the classic EDT, which drags you into its dark shadow, this time it invites you to drink its poison without betraying you. She is wicked yet authentic and transparent: if you drink it, you know exactly what you’re signing up for. Olfactorily, it leans more towards plum, anise, and honey; the white florals are there but much calmer. The wood and incense drop away almost completely, and here the connection with Cacharel’s Lou Lou becomes clearer. Still, there are differences: it’s sweet, playful, and makes you crave its poison even though you know it kills in small doses. It’s a symbolic death because the soul is reborn on another plane with this alchemy. Yes, it’s soft, lasts long on the skin, doesn’t project much, but its beauty is lethal and delicate.
