I was surprised not to find mint in the pyramid, as it was my first impression. At first, it smells very fresh and slightly sweet, almost like toothpaste. I suppose that freshness is the sea water. The ginger is different from the Blv by Bvlgari; here, everything is sweet. I sense that the vanilla and musk dominate. It’s not bad, but I expected something different. How good it is that samples are available.
Absolutely stunning lily: fresh yet deep at the same time. I don’t sense water, but rather a very strong, refreshing white flower. I simply love this interpretation.
Lys Mediterranee evokes a late summer afternoon heat, sea breeze mixed with soft, spiced lilies. Lilies have been cherished since ancient Egypt. Elegant and majestic, it conveys purity and innocence. Flechier pays a realistic, fresh, almost enveloping tribute, with a touch of sweet vanilla and a cloud of soft musk for longevity. If Portrait of a Lady is baroque, this is minimal impressionism.
