It’s nothing like I expected. The opening smells of tanned leather, very animalic, and a dirty amber. On my skin, it doesn’t sit well unless you’re aiming to project a wild night out. After several hours, the leather’s potency fades and the herbal side emerges, with the wormwood noticeable and the amber sweetening, making it less masculine. It has a nice trail for about two hours before settling close to the skin for at least seven more. I found it a rough yet classy scent, reminiscent of Cuir de Russie (though a different leather), perfect for cold nights. I wouldn’t wear it myself, but it could suit the right person brilliantly. Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 6/10
Gomma is pure leather, inspired by the legendary Knize Ten, but much softer and kinder. Its herbal facet stands out due to the wormwood, though what truly defines it is that luminous jasmine heart note, with an animalic and floral touch that sets it apart from its predecessor. The leather smells wonderful and isn’t artificial. Overall, it’s an elegant, wearable daily scent with a lovely trail that works well at close range, although for my taste it lacks a bit of longevity. Rating: 6.5
