Idole d'Armani by Giorgio Armani is a fragrance from the women's olfactive family. Launched in 2009, this composition was created by Bruno Jovanovic. Sweet, spiced, a little citrusy. I imagine an elegant woman, a party or a super business meeting. It’s for a woman over 40 with a lot of personality; I can’t imagine it on a young girl, as it’s too dense, sweet and overwhelming, definitely not for me.

Pear, so much pear everywhere! However, as it settles, it gradually disappears and gives way to something that, while not dazzling, is pleasant and warm. To its credit, I like the risk of betting on styrax in the heart, which makes it special compared to the other notes that do not stand out. The styrax smells of leather and gives it a masculine touch that combines perfectly with the vetiver and patchouli. For me, it smells of beeswax with a leather base and a fruity opening. In short, I think it is a good daily perfume, but it does not stand out, so I would not use it for an important evening. It lacks strength and is expensive for what it is.
Pear, lots of pear everywhere. However, when it settles, the pear fades away little by little, giving way to a fragrance that, while not dazzling, is nonetheless pleasant and warm. On the plus side, I like the risk of the composition in betting on styrax in the heart of the fragrance; it’s what makes it special, compared to the rest of the notes which don’t stand out. The styrax smells of leather and gives it a masculine touch that complements perfectly with the vetiver and patchouli. For me, it could be described as a smell of beeswax with a leather base and a fruity opening. In short, I think it’s a good daily perfume, but it’s not outstanding, so I wouldn’t use it for an important evening. It lacks strength and is expensive for what it is.
I found quite negative reviews of this perfume online and was amazed at how categorical they could be. A long time ago I learned that every nose is a world, and that both one’s own pH and the subjectivity of each person are part of that. It is a timeless and singular elegance. I haven’t heard of another perfume like it. It’s sufficiently unusual that not everyone knows how to appreciate it or how to wear it. It generates the sensation of being inspired by the East, transporting one to a different time and to classic perfumes from a previous era. It is sophisticated, mature, emanating the confidence and attraction of a composition with a rare, distinguished beauty, strong and of unique character. In its top notes, the pear prevails over the ginger and citrus notes. In its heart, saffron adds a spiced touch to floral notes sweetened with honey. And in its dry-down, a woody vetiver predominates, sometimes quite spiced as the saffron remains throughout its development. Even though gender is just a social construct, I think at times it seems like a unisex fragrance, as I perceive it as slightly more masculine at times, nevertheless it behaves predominantly feminine on me. Furthermore, without considering incense notes, it’s what is perceived when applied to my skin, which I love and attribute to the resinous base of styrax. Its longevity is very long-lasting and its sillage is moderate.
I saw very negative reviews online and was struck by how harsh they were. I’ve long learned that every nose is a world unto itself, with its own pH and subjectivity. It is a timeless, unique elegance that has no equal. It’s sufficiently unusual that not everyone understands or knows how to wear it. It evokes the East, a different era, and classic perfumes from another time. It is sophisticated, mature, conveying confidence and an attraction with a rare, distinguished, strong, and unique character. In the opening, the pear dominates over the ginger and citrus notes. In the heart, the saffron adds a spicy touch to the sweet, honeyed flowers. As it dries down, a woody vetiver takes over, sometimes very spicy due to the persistent saffron. Although the scent is social, at times it feels unisex; I sometimes sense it as more masculine, but on my skin it is predominantly feminine. Without noticing incense, it smells exactly as I apply it; I love it and attribute this to the resinous base of styrax. It lasts a very long time, and the trail is moderate.
I do not like it because at first it smells of tobacco, but in the end it smells of cream.

I love this perfume deeply. It’s so unusual that I won’t deny I was surprised when I first smelled it. Then I began to appreciate that woody scent, and as my husband says, wood with liquor. Later, on my skin, it becomes creamy and I like it even more. I regret discovering it so late, as it’s not easy to find; I’ve only been able to acquire the 30ml size and have already had to restock. It’s a fragrance not for everyone; it’s a fragrance for women. I don’t think young girls would choose it, but it’s a fine, elegant fragrance, nothing floral, just wood… wood… exquisite.

It doesn’t last long on my skin, but its scent is very rich.
I liked it the moment I tried it, for its fresh, elegant, spiced, sweet and unusual opening. I bought it because I found it at a very good price. Later, I realised what attracted me was the wood. Most of the winter perfumes I like feature wood. The truth is, it doesn’t last as long as another Armani, for example Code or Armani Mania, but it has medium longevity and moderate sillage. I consider it very appropriate for office work or customer-facing roles; it’s very warm. It is true that it’s for a woman over 30, which I see well, although perfumes don’t have ages; a young girl could wear it if she has character. It’s not a heavy or too strange perfume; I’d prefer it a thousand times over an Angel or Flowerbomb.
A delicious feminine fragrance with presence and elegance, fruity, sweet, and slightly spicy. The woody notes in the dry down remind me a bit of Dune. I consider it suitable for fresh spring, in an executive style without over-applying. Longevity is quite good, and projection is wide to moderate. Although I suggest trying it on the skin to see its evolution, I believe it will not disappoint ladies over 30 with a taste for fruity woody scents.

This is one of my jewels. Love at first sight, so different, spicy-fruity, with that juicy pear, ginger, and honey, elegant and exotic. I cannot put into words what it does to my olfactory senses; it’s like the scent of a Greek goddess on summer nights. Exquisite! On my skin, it has an incredible longevity. I’ve been wearing it for years, mainly in spring and summer for elegant evening outings. I find it sophisticated, with a lot, muuuch personality, something oriental or mystical. Certainly, it is not the typical sweet feminine perfume; it is one of empowerment, strong, almost androgynous. It’s a shame I believe it is discontinued; I try to enjoy my bottles to the maximum. A true In Love!
This is one of my treasures. For me, it was love at first sight – so different, spiced-fruit with that juicy pear, ginger and honey note, elegant and exotic. I can’t do justice in words to what it awakens in my nose, but it’s like the scent of a Greek goddess on summer nights. Simply exquisite! On me, it has incredible longevity. I’ve been wearing it for years, seasonally, mainly on spring and summer evenings for elegant night-outs. I find it very sophisticated, full of personality, something oriental or mystical. Certainly not the typical sweet, feminine perfume; for me, it’s an empowering fragrance, strong, almost androgynous. Unfortunately, I believe it’s been discontinued, so I try to make the most of my bottles. A true In Love.
I absolutely love it. It’s rare for me to like this kind of perfume; I usually prefer mature, feminine scents, but this is one of my favourites. It has a delicious smoky touch, a precise sweetness, and it suits my style perfectly – woody. It’s discontinued, which is a pity; I only use it for special occasions.
