  • It’s not a bad perfume; it has a tropical touch, not a fruity chichi, but I can’t imagine Xenia Onatop, Tanya Roberts, Halle Berry, or Cary Lowell smelling like this. The femme fatale stereotype from those films is so standardised that you expect a scent that embodies femininity itself in a bottle, yet this tries to be sexy and falls half a step short.

  • It’s not bad; it has a strange tropical note I can’t identify, but at least it doesn’t smell like a fruity chichi. The truth is, I can’t picture Xenia Onatop from Goldie or any Bond girl like Tanya Roberts or Halle Berry smelling like this. The femme fatale trope from those movies is so standardised that you expect a fragrance that is femininity itself in a bottle, but this attempts to be sexy and ends up half-baked.

  • Why do I keep buying blind!? I blame my lack of treats lately. I was hunting for an affordable EDT with red berries for autumn, as I was running low on others. I spotted this at €16 with red berries and pink pepper—a note I adore—and comparisons to Hot Couture and Midnight Rose sealed the deal. Pppppppffffffffffff!! I’ll admit I’d never heard of Hot Couture, but if this is similar, what a rip-off! It’s terribly synthetic, smelling of bare skin from the outset. The red berries and champagne are barely noticeable at first, appearing and vanishing in a flash; all I detected was leather, which has now joined my blacklist as it triggers the same rejection as Lacoste Femme. The rest of the notes are mere decoration. I didn’t even keep it for an hour, giving it to a teenage neighbour who liked it. What was I expecting for €16? I have no idea! Clearly, I don’t learn!

  • Why do I keep buying blind!? Why do I never learn!? I attribute this to my time without treats. I wanted an EDT with red berries for autumn without spending much, as I was finishing several others. I saw this for €16, featuring red berries and pink pepper—a note I like—and reviews compared it to Hot Couture and Midnight Rose, so I went for it. What a rip-off! Terribly synthetic, smelling of bare skin almost from the start. The red berries and champagne are hardly noticeable at first and disappear quickly; the only thing I felt was leather, which I’ve added to my blacklist as it causes the same rejection as Lacoste Femme. The remaining notes are just decoration. I didn’t even keep it for an hour, giving it to a neighbour who liked it. What was I expecting for €16? I have no idea! Clearly, I don’t learn!
