  Seriously! It smells fantastic—a brilliant twist on the scent of ripe (not fresh green) apple, combined with vetiver and other notes to create a beautiful symphony. At first, I thought it was generic, but I was wrong; it takes familiar aromas and amplifies them incredibly, with surprising longevity. The violets and bergamot are strong at the start, reminiscent of famous perfumes, yet it’s a very good fragrance: imagine blending Abercrombie’s First Instinct, Eclat d’Arpege, and a touch of Polo Blue; those two form the marked base of Paradise Bay. As a critique, the bottle is pretty and substantial, but the cap is uncomfortable, and those white ‘Paradise Bay’ letters ruin the elegance; they look scratched, like wearing an emerald necklace alongside a seashell one that just doesn’t match, though perhaps that was the designer’s concept. Rating: 1-10 scale. Scent: 7.5. Bottle: 8.0. Sillage: 8.5. Longevity: 8 hours (measured with a timer app), noticeable on clothes and skin. Quality: 9.0. Price: mid to high range.
