Starts citrusy, sharp and very patchouli-heavy, with a harsh cocoa note that, lacking sweetness, smells of heavy earth. The best part is that fresh opening; the worst is the dry-down, which smells like a dusty, unventilated room. I didn’t like it at first, but I’m editing my review: now I understand it better, I sense the vanilla in the dry-down that sweetens the cocoa. It remains powdery, but it no longer displeases me.
I tried it on a tester. Upon application, notes of apple, jasmine, and blackcurrants emerge; the latter remind me of Fantasy Midnight but more mellow and less acidic, very pleasant. As it settles, the chocolate appears, the jasmine remains, and the patchouli base doesn’t steal the show. Out of the entire Agatha Ruiz line, which I generally don’t like, this is the richest one I’ve tried.
I tried this on a tester from a purchase and upon application, there’s an immediate note of apple, jasmine, and blackcurrants; the latter remind me of Fantasy Midnight but are less acidic, more mature, and very pleasant. As it settles, chocolate emerges, the jasmine remains present, and the base patchouli doesn’t overshadow the other notes. Out of the entire Agatha Ruiz line, which generally doesn’t suit me, this is by far the richest one I’ve tried.
Sweet at first with apple and pink pepper, very powdery, with a patchouli base. I’m not convinced by the dry-down as it smells too dusty.
It smells to me like the fruit toffee from the Peruvian raspadilla or apricot sweets: sweet, powdery, and soft. Pity the longevity is so short.
I loved it. On my skin, the cocoa dominates, and the trail is barely noticeable in the first few minutes. It lasts about two hours on the skin and until the next day on clothes. It’s a rich aroma at a price that never fails.

It’s as if it carries two perfumes: it starts citrusy, with apple and freshness, but that fades quickly. Once it dries down, it becomes warm, vanilla-scented, and cocoa-infused, eventually smelling like maple syrup. I miss the initial notes and wouldn’t buy it again.
The first impression was that it was chocolatey. The opening is a bit fruity, but spiced chocolate appears very quickly. It lasted more than twelve hours on clothes, very strong; on skin less so, but I was surprised because I expected less. I think it’s a very good option for winter and for everyday wear.
The first sensation was that it was chocolatey. The opening is a bit fruity, but spiced chocolate appears very quickly. It lasted more than twelve hours on clothes, persisting quite strongly; on skin it lasted much less, but I was surprised because I expected less. I think it’s a very good option for winter days, for everyday wear.
Sometimes it lasts, sometimes it doesn’t. It overwhelms me. Definitely you have to use and abuse it to make it last and have projection. For the price it’s more than good if you like the scent. Perfect for fresh days (autumn/early spring). Scent: 8/10. Longevity: 6/10. Projection: if you abuse the sprays 7/10. Longevity: acceptable. Price-quality ratio: 9/10. Perfect for layering with strong orientals. I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
Checking the reviews I realised I hadn’t commented on it; it was a gift from my daughter last year. I loved it. It’s different from the others by Agatha, a designer I like very much, as they usually have acceptable longevity on my skin, although I think the quality has dropped a bit in recent years and, as I read, there are days it lasts longer on me. I saw in the ‘similar to’ section a comparison with Gotas de Color, and I think they have nothing to do with each other, although on first spray it’s citrusy, you always feel that background of vanilla and cacao. I like it because this component isn’t so strong or shocking as in other perfumes where the chocolate feels invasive. I feel it very soft, that it melts with the vanilla and gives a creamy, powdery base that makes me feel comfortable. But today, for example, it hasn’t persisted on me at all, I feel it too soft. However, it’s so lovely and vibrant on first spray and its price is so accessible that reapplying to continue feeling this beautiful fragrance doesn’t bother me. I recommend it even to those who aren’t gourmand fans, because I think it’s very soft, delicate and in no way invasive. It’s a perfume to wear daily, I’d use it until afternoon or early evening. I think I could wear it all year round.
Checking the reviews, I realised I hadn’t commented on this gift my daughter gave me last year. I loved it. Unlike other Agatha Ruiz de la Prada perfumes, which usually last well on my skin, though I think quality has dipped a bit in recent years. I’ve read that sometimes it lasts longer. I saw people comparing it to Gotas de Color, but in my opinion, they have nothing to do with each other; here there’s always that background of vanilla and cocoa. I like it because the chocolate isn’t invasive or shocking like in others; it’s soft, blends with the vanilla and gives a creamy, talc-like base that makes me feel comfortable. It hasn’t lasted long today, I find it very soft, but its opening is lovely and vibrant and the accessible price doesn’t bother me to reapply. I recommend it even to those who aren’t gourmand fans, because it’s delicate and non-invasive. Ideal for daily wear, until the afternoon or early evening. I think I’d use it all year round.
WATCH OUT FOR THIS COLONNE! LET NO ONE BELIEVE IT’S A CHEAP LITTLE GIRL’S COLONNE… WHAT A PERFUME AGATHA RUIZ HAS DROPPED WITH THIS LOOK!
Sweet and delicious, I sense something fruity, cacao and vanilla, but also something earthy and powdery. Unfortunately it doesn’t last long nor has much projection, but I simply reapply. I like its scent very much, the price is very good and personally I love the bottle. I’m glad to have it in the collection. Every time I want to smell like chocolate I use it.
At first it smells of artificial fruit juice, then something floral, creamy and very soft, and as it settles I sense the cacao, deep and dark but sweet. I think it’s suitable for all seasons, perhaps it stands out more in warm climates (not too hot). Excellent for school, the office or wearing at home. Something simple, pretty and feminine. It was a blind buy because of the bottle (it came in a set with a black eyeliner and a facial seal). I think it would be a good gift for young women or teenagers. I don’t like chocolate fragrances much, but this was a pleasant surprise (I know it’s not real chocolate, but it’s understandable). The longevity and trail are moderate, but reapplying isn’t painful. I’ve liked it quite a bit, but I wouldn’t buy it again. Having the memory and the little bottle in the collection is enough.
Delicious, quite fruity. I used it a lot in winter and liked it for all day, but it lasts nothing. I felt the decline of Agatha perfumes a couple of years ago; I still have the Beso and it has become oily, nothing like those good formulas from before. The look doesn’t disappoint me but the projection could be better. Anyway, I wouldn’t buy it again.
I really like it. I mix it with a chocolate body cream and it smells divine. The longevity is short; you need to reapply after two hours.
This is the fragrance of autumn. Very sweet, it makes me feel young and creative. I wear it to uni and it sits beautifully on the skin. I absolutely love it; despite being sweet, it doesn’t feel heavy. It incredibly lifts my mood and makes me feel great. It gives me the confidence to wear black and suddenly I feel feminine, friendly and cheerful. I like it very much.
It’s gorgeous, but it fades quickly. Smells sweet and gourmand; the chocolate and vanilla give it a lovely touch. It’s an eau de toilette and you can’t ask for more.
