I’ve only smelled it in perfumeries for a year and a half, but I already know I love it; it’s wonderful. Even if you say it’s not for you, you’ll agree it’s excellent. So much so that it kept me thinking until I bought it before it was discontinued due to scarcity. When I first encountered the Flower line, I was confused and took Flower Poppy Bouquet 🤦🏻♀️, which I also love and wear with grace, but I never forgot the Elixir. I remember the samples in my bag, and when I opened it at home: luminous, incredible, “Apollonian” 😆. It’s surprising; it dazzles like a sensual, elegant suit with sparkles; even if you don’t like it, you’ll look at it. The scent is super nocturnal, the notes compacted, but I smell a bridge between talc and fruit: the praline and vanilla make it. It reminds me of my favourite Valentino BIR but more mature and without that almond touch, and like the talc of Givenchy Irresistible but lighter. Kenzo is an expert in longevity. Super sweet but with character, nothing childish. After my shower, I clearly smell candied, talcky, refined apple; delicious. I don’t feel it resembles traditional Kenzo much; the closest is Poppy Bouquet, but it’s lighter and fresher, whereas the Elixir is creamier and darker.
It’s my favourite fragrance 😍
I love buying blind based on notes and reviews, but not always do you win; this time I lost. I’m not saying it’s a bad perfume, simply it doesn’t resonate with my senses or my being. I found it too sweet, talcky, with the DNA of Flower very present. If I had to choose, I’d stick with the classic Flower (that one truly stirs my emotions). I know many love the Elixir, but I’ll have to give it more time to want it a little. I’m still giving it a chance, but I definitely like it little; I only use it on very cold days and have read it’s been discontinued. After maturing for several months, I start to love it. Would I buy it again? No.
At first, it smells of very strong raspberry, but over time, caramel takes over—a praline with a touch of talc and raspberry. It’s delicious ✨ I love it.
It starts strong with raspberry and caramel, reminding me of caramelised apples. It has herbal, floral notes, and a bitter touch I can’t identify. I usually don’t like sweet or gourmand perfumes, but this is different: fun yet elegant. It’s very sweet but not overwhelming, and I want to keep smelling it. I would have loved to feel the talc from my favourite Flower, but I detect nothing.
Years ago, I smelled the original Flower on someone else and loved it so much I asked what they were wearing, but the talc was hard for me to handle on my skin. Today, by chance, I tried L’Elixir in-store, and it was as if it had been made for me: same DNA as the original, but with less talc and more sweetness. Exquisite!!!
I won this in a blind swap (I traded a Hypnose for something unknown). At first, it was strange, but a few days later I found juicy, sweet, and warm raspberry—simply magnificent. I already owned the classic Flower and enjoyed it for years, but this is different. I loved it so much I repurchased it; although it’s a special edition and hard to find, I managed to get the large bottle. The packaging is beautiful, and the burgundy colour really catches the eye. I wear it for a long time, and it lingers on clothes even more. The downside is that once I finish it, I’ll probably never find it again, but I hope to have found something that evokes this Morillas gem. I would definitely buy it again.
I bought it in summer and gifted it away because it didn’t last. In winter, however, it works: it smells of sweet raspberry with caramel, praline, and talc. I’ve been complimented so much. Ideal for winter, day or night, but at night it’s pure gold. Very sweet but not childish, with the DNA of the original Flower. Subtly sexy.
Dulce Oli, recommending perfumes is a nightmare because everyone’s sense of smell and pH is different. Kenzo is tricky… My advice: read reviews, check the notes, watch YouTube, and if it feels right, buy a decant. This perfume kills me, I love it; it’s my personal fragrance alongside Bright Crystal Absolut. For a twenty-something, it looks great 😁.
I adore this in winter, but in summer it overwhelms me just like the talc did: it’s too much. On my skin, it’s velvety, not sharp at all—exactly like the original. I get that sweetened rose with vanilla and raspberry going absolutely wild. It’s earned me so many compliments; it’s a total hit.
Sweet rose, blackberry, vanilla and powder notes. A wonderful fragrance. Potent and embracing, my winter essential, one of my favourites among sweet, powdery gourmand scents. Not childish; its sweetness is more sophisticated. An absolute must-have. A mistake to discontinue it. — What other designer scents do you consider similar?
Finally, I overcame my prejudice against powdery perfumes and bought it blind (since it’s discontinued, that’s the only way). I fell in love at first sniff. It’s quite sweet, with raspberry, vanilla, praline, and rose standing out, along with that subtle powdery hint from its original floral heart. It has excellent projection and longevity; people complimented it even after eight hours, when I stopped smelling it myself and thought it had stopped projecting. Generally very complimentary, it stands out for its beauty without being loud (like Coff Coff Lveb) or brash. With its original note combination, it’s not one of those perfumes that smell on two out of five women; it’s very distinctive. Despite its sweetness, it’s not overwhelming (yes, with any perfume that has presence, you need to be careful not to overapply). I see it as perfect for romantic occasions, befitting a sweet, subtle, refined, elegant, and clean woman (thanks to the powdery hint); even sensual in a non-explicit way, thanks to the velvety way it highlights the skin. I’d wear it in strategic places where I’d like to be heard more closely. As it’s a recent purchase, I’ve only used it in autumn and winter; honestly, I don’t think it was designed for warm climates. Having been so fascinated by it, I bought a backup bottle.
HOW COULD THEY DISCONTINUE IT? Good heavens! I can’t believe this delight is no longer available to smell. I’ll treasure the bottle I have left with so much love. I adore this fragrance. It’s wonderful. Sweet but not cloying, youthful yet not childish, with citrus notes that give it the perfect touch. I love it. Since I tried it, I’ve worn it non-stop and it never gets old. That happens with very few perfumes. I hope Kenzo comes to their senses and doesn’t pull it from the market.
A delicious, sweet little stick with vanilla undertones and raspberry. Very tasty, although it ends up being so overwhelming that I’m thinking of selling it. It’s a very different perfume but super sweet. Try before you buy!
A exquisite gourmand, nothing like the original in my opinion; I didn’t like the original. This one is sweet, intense, sexy, youthful, sparkling, and delicious. I have the 30ml and have already bought the larger size. It’s a must-have for those of us who love sweet and fruity perfumes.
I absolutely love it; I never thought I’d like a Kenzo. It smells like red fruit bonbons. It doesn’t have much sillage, it’s more for personal enjoyment, but it lasts on the skin for hours. I think it will always be in my collection. I don’t understand why they discontinued it; it’s beautiful.
It certainly shares DNA with the original in its powdery notes. However, this is much more gourmand, with an avianilla touch and those berry notes. What a pity they’ve discontinued it. Today, 4th January 2023, there are only about 8 units of 100ml left scattered across some El Corte Inglés stores in Spain. I couldn’t resist buying one. €125 for 100ml, but they are worth it!
I love it. I stumbled upon it a few days ago at a small perfumery by chance. I had heard about it thanks to Irasema’s ‘Memories of a Perfume’ and knew it was discontinued, so I wasn’t looking. When I saw it, I tried it, liked it immensely, and bought it without hesitation. I was lucky and I’m very pleased.
I have a decant and I absolutely love it ❤️ I can’t believe I found it after losing all hope. I searched online shops, eBay, and everywhere else until I spotted it in a local perfumery in a beautiful box: bottle, lotion, and travel case ❤️ I’m so happy; I’ll keep it forever.
It stopped being sold in my country, and I couldn’t find it even in Orlando, Florida. It’s the only one that accompanies me, and I need it back.
I got this at a super good price and still have plenty of millilitres left. It’s a shame it’s discontinued but what joy to have found it. I loved it: I sense raspberries bathed in milk chocolate with a certain talc note. I love it🥹🍫🍓
Kenzo L’ Elixir: I managed to grab a 100ml sample in a shop, fortuitously, and couldn’t pass it up given the glowing reviews. Despite not being a fan of the Flower family or the brand in general, it’s a precious acquisition for my collection. Contrary to my expectations, it didn’t turn dusty; I perceive no talc notes at all. On my skin it behaved like creamy chocolate with red fruits, staying warm and gourmand for about three hours on skin and up to seven on clothes. Although it’s not overwhelming in sillage, it’s noticeable and impregnated the room. It might seem nothing extraordinary, but my star note is that as soon as I atomised it I felt instant well-being, I felt comforted and cheerful all day. Some perfumes change emotions: Good Girl makes me feel attractive, Hypnotic Poison powerful; and this Elixir made me feel happy. I attribute that to the real endocannabinoid effect of the praline and raspberry notes releasing serotonin in my brain… so my paranormal Grenouillean experience, my recognition to the perfumer and the quality. Who will like it: perfume lovers, full stop.
I love it, what a pity they discontinued it but I managed to grab a bottle for when my current one runs out. It cost me to find it at a good price but I did. On my skin it has great sillage and longevity; every time I wear it people ask what perfume it is. It makes me feel very good.
It’s a shame they discontinued it and I don’t understand the reason. I hope Kenzo puts it back on the market. I have a bottle saved that I use only for special occasions. Its scent is deliciously sweet without being overwhelming, very feminine. I truly love it.
I adore it! For years I used the original Flower, Kenzo’s first, then I mistakenly bought Flower Eau de Lumière thinking it was the same; I liked it less and I think I sold it. Some time ago I tried this, couldn’t buy it, and now I have it in my line of dupes I sell. It’s just as exquisite, comforting, sweet but not cloying. It’s gourmand but not heavy; on my skin I sense a fruity-floral gourmand, like a mix of raspberry-praline and bourbon vanilla. What a pleasure! Although it’s sweet and strong, it’s not invasive, it has sillage and longevity. I fell in love and I think it will be one of my favourites for a long time. It suits any age, it’s timeless. I love it and recommend it to those who like sweet-floral-gourmand perfumes!
It’s a proper gentleman’s perfume 👌😁❤️: talc-like, floral, sweet, elegant and warm. I love it! ❤️😍 Decided to grab a bottle to keep it safe (it’s discontinued) 😔😞 😞 Kenzo should never have taken this away, it’s unique and has no equal (it saved its brother EDP, but this one is more floral, vintage and talc-like). At first, it gave me pause 😒 because it reminded me of its brother which I can’t stand, but over time I got hooked. I can’t stop using it! It’s beautiful!! ❤️❤️ I don’t recommend buying blind 👆 try it on skin first. It’s love or hate!!! Ideal for cold climates!!
Does anyone know of a dupe???? 🥹
BarbaraG, if you’re from Argentina, you can find the exact replica with any Bagués seller. 💗
It breaks my heart they’ve discontinued it 😭
Finally managed to get a refill! Snagged a sealed 100ml box at a normal price (eBay is asking over $200). What madness, I absolutely adore it!
What I perceive most is a subtle powdery raspberry with praline and vanilla. It’s a fragrance I’ll always like; I fell in love with its bottle and then its scent.
LaDamedeNoir, haha, what a laugh her review is; you’re quite acid, but I like your writing and what you say. I’m still undecided about this perfume. Nothing against the blend of raspberry, rose and musk, but did it need praline? I don’t think so, neither this nor any other perfume, that’s what doesn’t quite convince me. I don’t know whether to keep it or not, I’m still weighing it up. That said, it’s very informal, for daytime, and its performance doesn’t compare to the original Flower, which does last all day for me.
Last week I was given two samples in a shop and I’ve just opened one. What a lovely, sweet, powdery perfume. What a pity they’ve discontinued it.
I absolutely love it! Praline and raspberry. I have to hide it so people don’t use it, and wherever I go, they ask what I’m wearing. The downside is that it’s been discontinued; I’d love to buy it again but can’t find it.
If you like this perfume in Argentina, you’ll find its identical dupe: Bagues 36th Anniversary. If you’re interested, we have it in our Instagram shop: @tresmundos.bagues.
My mum was given this perfume when I was about 13 or 14, and as she didn’t like it, she passed it to me. I’ve always liked sweet perfumes, but I remember I couldn’t handle this one. It was so strong that it even made me dizzy, so I stopped using it. In short, neither she nor I were a good match for it; I remember it lasted forever but it was very heavy. Sweet to the point of no return.
Pure charm in a bottle. Fresh and modern, it’s perfect for standing out effortlessly. Its vibrant yet soft blend accompanies you all day, leaving a subtle but memorable trail. Ideal for adding an elegant touch to your everyday life. Definitely a must-have!
The richest fragrance from Kenzo I have ever tried. It makes me furious and sad that they’ve discontinued it; since I have the 50 ml bottle, I’ll have to be very stingy with the sprays.
Perhaps it is the best flanker of Kenzo Flower. Flower L’Elixir is a super powdery, sweet-floral fragrance with incredible longevity and projection. From the start, it smells of flowers like rose and jasmine, with a praline base that makes it eternal. What a pity they’ve discontinued it; I have 10 ml left that I’ll have to use sparingly. If anyone can get their hands on it, it’s a safe purchase. It is a masterpiece by Alberto Morillas.
What a lovely perfume; it hurts that I can’t find it anymore. I bought it three times, but when I went back to look, nothing. If they reissued it, it would be a total hit.
