Descripción
Luminous Vivid by Maison Alhambra is an aromatic citrus fragrance for men. Launched in 2025, this creation unfolds an olfactive pyramid where the top notes are grapefruit, bergamot and blackcurrant; the heart reveals green mandarin and vetiver; and the base rests on dry wood, amber and cashmere wood.

I picked this up based on the reviews, and honestly, it has won me over. It’s ideal for spring-summer, but I wear it everywhere. It’s a clone of the great PDM Perseus. The longevity delivers: between 6 and 8 hours, and the projection stays strong for 2 or 3 hours. 100% recommended.
The inspiration is obvious in Perseus, and the attempt to emulate that citrus-woody fragrance is there, but it’s like comparing coffee creamer to real coffee. It makes the effort, it’s not too annoying, and it’s an economical option; some might be put off by it, while others will notice the difference immediately. At first: a burst of citrus with grapefruit and bergamot, where the synthetic quality is noticeable. It’s not bad, just not dazzling. The vetiver is almost non-existent and moves straight to the woody notes; it lacks body but it’s there. I feel they’ve diluted these notes, so they don’t develop well, so don’t expect anything extraordinary. Longevity on skin is, at best, 3-5 hours, and the trail is not potent, just discreet. It hits the notes, emulates quite well, but it’s one of those fragrances for yourself; it develops on the skin with normal application. Obviously, it lasts longer on clothes. It’s functional, without pretending to be the inspiration, it works and is pleasant, but you’ll hardly be someone else’s reference. Is it worth it? Only if your expectations aren’t high, you’re just looking to smell good to yourself, and in the end, for many, that’s what matters. Maceration? I think it would be interesting to see if we get something different after letting it rest, so I’ll give it a try. It’s relatively new, so I think it’s worth a second chance. Thanks, guys.
I’ve never smelled the original Perseus, so I hope it has nothing to do with it. I bought this blind because it wasn’t available in any perfume shop in my city and the notes appealed to me, as I own similar perfumes and enjoy them, plus I was looking for something for the spring/summer weather. My expectations were sky-high, and it turned out terribly; I don’t even wear it occasionally. I’ve already listed it hoping for a buyer with exotic tastes. The opening is super synthetic, to the point of being annoying and causing a headache; it smells like cleaning products or floor cleaner. In the dry-down it’s the same, though it’s less synthetic and more about what it’s trying to emulate. It doesn’t list rosemary, but that’s the scent I notice: an intense rosemary with citrus. I don’t think it’s vetiver, because that note doesn’t usually bother me in other perfumes, unless the quality is very poor (perhaps due to the $20 price tag). If I analyse it well, I notice the citrus with wood, but from far away, because that rosemary smell ruins everything. In short, I don’t recommend buying this blind; don’t let yourselves be deceived by the notes. When I can smell the original I’ll edit this. My rating for now is 2/10.
I’ve never smelled the original, but I bought this blind because it wasn’t available in my city and the notes appealed to me, especially as I was looking for something for spring/summer. My expectations were sky-high, and I was utterly disappointed. I wouldn’t even wear it occasionally; I’ve already listed it hoping for a buyer with exotic tastes, haha. The opening is incredibly synthetic, to the point of being unpleasant and even causing a headache—it smells like household cleaners or floor polish. The dry-down is similar, though it’s less synthetic and more about what it’s trying to emulate. It doesn’t list rosemary, but that’s the scent I perceive: an intense rosemary mixed with citrus. I doubt it’s vetiver, as that note isn’t usually unpleasant in other perfumes, unless the quality is abysmal (perhaps due to the $20 price tag). If I analyse it closely, I can detect a hint of citrus and wood, but only from a distance, as that rosemary scent ruins everything. In short, I cannot recommend this for blind buys; don’t let the listed notes deceive you. When I get the chance to smell the real Perseus, I’ll edit this to see if my opinion changes. My rating for now is 2/10.
