I haven’t tried the Bond No. 9, but I have a decant of Wildcard from Game of Spades and they smell almost identical; the opening is the same. Obviously, this one from Maison Alhambra is ‘stronger’ and more alcoholic at first for about 30 seconds, but the scent is very similar to Jo Malone’s (which I know is a good dupe of the Bond). Longevity is 5 to 6 hours, against the 6 to 8 hours of the GoS, which costs nearly four times as much. It’s a very good option; I got it in Chile for around $20. Recommended.

Yes, it is a clone of Jo Malone Wildcard. If this doesn’t suit you, forget about Luxe Street entirely. It’s not as though Wildcard lasts forever; many complain about that anyway. And yet, we are expected to demand it lasts just as long from Maison Alhambra when paying a quarter of the price? I wanted to buy Wildcard at a perfumerie (but due to the hype, prices soared and it’s now out of stock), so I tried the rest of the brand. The salesperson told me that if I wanted to know how Wildcard smells, I should try Luxe Street, and it overwhelmed the others. To me, it smells more Swedish and balanced, where you can feel the variety of notes. The bottle is gorgeous, breaking away from the classic style. It would be good to let it breathe and see how the longevity develops. Scent 9/10, Price 10/10, Packaging 10/10, Longevity 8/10.
It’s true it reminds me of my beloved Sculpture but something more floral. I’d say it’s more unisex thanks to that floral part; I don’t see it as a 100% men’s perfume, a woman would wear this and you’d think it’s also feminine. On my skin it also works great. I have to let it macerate to see its longevity, but it looks like it will last about 7 hours. I’ll edit again.
With pleasure, here’s my first review of Maison Alhambra’s Street Luxe. I must say I’m a lover of the Lafayette Street DNA. I started with a decant of Wildcard, finished it off, and now that fragrance is very scarce in Chile and the price has shot up due to the hype, so it was time to look for a similar scent. With nerves, I ventured into this new MA line, which has to be said, sometimes releases incredible perfumes and other times terrible ones, so the possibilities were extreme. Thank goodness, with this fragrance they did very well; the same fresh, masculine DNA is kept, with a clean scent and a similarity to a high-quality aftershave, the same but all a bit more reduced, as if they took the hormones out of Wildcard and made it more bearable and lighter, which in my case is appreciated, as I had it happen a couple of times that the high ambroxan load and the strength of Wildcard gave me a headache (despite loving the perfume). The solution? Carry the perfume in a bag or backpack and reapply every 3 or 4 hours; it cost me $20 in my country, you can apply it all day if you want and it doesn’t hurt. Totally recommended.
I love the DNA of Lafayette Street. I started with a decant of Wildcard which I can no longer find in Chile and the price has gone up due to the hype, so I looked for something similar. With some trepidation, I tried this new line from MA, which sometimes produces gems and other times rubbish, but here they did well. It maintains the fresh, masculine, clean DNA, like a quality aftershave but more toned down, removing the heavy hormonal charge of Wildcard that gave me a headache. The solution: carry it in the bag and reapply every 3 or 4 hours. It cost me $20 and lasts all day without causing pain. Highly recommended.
Did you see that meme of the four men pointing at each other? Well, in this case it would be: Montale Wood & Spices, Nikos Sculpture, Dunhill Desire, and this perfume (not counting others). Same formulas and aromas, packaged in different bottles but with different prices. Open to interpretation.
Those who say it smells like WD 40 are the same people who say Imagination smells like detergent or Layton like Vicks VapoRub. It’s an absurd exaggeration that steers you away from having a realistic opinion. The matter is simple: if you’ve tried Wildcard, it’s very similar. Easy 90% similarity with a different nuance you notice when wearing them together. In performance, at first I’d say Wildcard lasts a bit longer, waiting to see if it equalises with maceration. But even so, it doesn’t hurt to reapply mid-day, especially since this Luxe costs less than a third. If you like that vibe, it’s a very good option.
Exquisite, with that YSL vibe. Sumptuously masculine, light amber, fresh and present. Longevity is acceptable and the price is outrageous. A rich perfume, a great work by Maison Alhambra. I can’t imagine how wonderful the Bond Lafayette Street will be; if this is good, the other must be a sensory masterpiece. 10/10. Bravo, MA.
Exquisite, a fragrance in that YSL vein. Extremely masculine, with a light amber, fresh and present. Longevity is more than acceptable and the price is insane. The truth is it smells identical to Lafayette; it has the DNA. The bad news is it doesn’t last long; after half an hour it’s barely on the skin and by two hours it’s gone. The best remains Wildcard.
This perfume is a gem! Don’t waste your time on the Jo Malone Wildcard which costs $65 and lasts nothing. This Street Luxe for $25 has even more longevity than the Wildcard. Highly recommended.
Beautiful fragrance, fresh and super clean. On my skin it has quite good longevity, without being a beast or anything, but for me it’s something good. It feels floral.

I thought this would be a men’s or unisex fragrance, but to me it smells like a ladies’ perfume from the 90s or 2000s. I let myself be swept away by the hype and ended up with a tremendous disappointment.
